Tough to review this place. The food was damn near 5 stars, esp for the money. The lamb chops have must order status; they were amazing. We ordered a huge amount for the table of four and it was all really good. However, the ambiance was pretty plain. Like dentist office level plain. Actually I think my dentists is a bit nicer. Ok, it’s a simple curry place so no big but it does hurt the rating. Also, the service was a bit ponderous, which you don’t expect at an Indian restaurant. It was after Boxing Day and it wasn’t busy at all so I am assuming the are understaffed. I will go again and I will update the review if the speed doesn’t improve.

While visiting London, I was looking forward to eating excellent Indian food(chicken tikka masala is a national food in the UK). I visited Spice 6 three times during my one week stay, each time ordering mattar paneer and tadka dal along with naan and rice. I will base my review on the first time, since it was the visit that left the most favorable impression on me. The dal and paneer were quite good. Spice 6’s mattar paneer is more like a paneer tikka masala dish with peas added. The gravy was creamy, quite opposite to most mattar paneer dishes that I have eaten. The naan was fantastic, among the best that I have ever eaten. It was perfectly fluffy, but not overly soft, buttered to perfection. To top it all off, we managed to get unlimited food for just £9 per person. The service left quite a bit to be desired, so 1 star off for that. The waiters were not prompt in refilling water or checking up on us. Overall, it was a fantastic experience. The quality of the food went above my high expectations.
