We visited this restaurant based on the recommendations found here on Unilocal. What a mistake. Let’s start with the tea. The tea tasted like someone took a wet rag and squeezed it into a cup, then added an old tea bag. It was horrible and we should have left right then and there. Then the food came. Our party of three does not smoke, nor do we drink alcohol, so all of our taste buds are sensitive to flavor. Although the staff was friendly and quite attentive, this ethic didn’t carry over to the kitchen. We ordered seven different food items, and not even one was worth eating. The plain rice was hard and old. Who can’t cook rice? Every single item, including the green salad, was so salty that they were not eatable. When we mentioned this to the waiter, he cleared the table and presented the bill. We made it clear to the staff that the food was unacceptable but it fell on deaf ears. If flavor and quality of food does not matter to you as much as convenience to your location, eat here at your own risk.

This East London curry house looks quirky from outside and the food leaves a lot to be desired. The staff are rude and inconsiderate, the menu is standard London curry-fare, and the ambience is very frankly creepy. The chicken tasted like rubber, and the vindaloo curry was very similar to the tikka masala… I would rather have a curry at Wetherspoon’s than come here again… uhh… Afterwards, I heard from someone that this restaurant has a history of diners waking up with food-poisoning the next morning. At least, I was one of the lucky few who escaped that.
