St Johns Wood Barbers

This is a pretty solid place for a fairly straightforward haircut on men. There are typically three guys that work here; one guy is extremely detailed and meticulous, making sure every strand is cut just the right way in the context of the whole head of hair. Another guy is the opposite — he’s very efficient but simply breezes through the entire cut in under 10 minutes, almost seeming as if he is praying he doesn’t mess up amidst the haste. The third guy is somewhere in between the two.
It has very reasonable prices considering the neighborhood, and the gentlemen are friendly should you wish to engage them in conversation. I’d recommend it as a safe option to check out if you’re new to the area.

Definitely a fan of this place! If you’re looking for a very thorough haircut, then definitely come here. It’s no longer owned by Gary, but it was sold to one of his employees (maybe Mo?). Either way, it’s still run very well and everyone is very good at cutting hair. Like the previous reviewer states, Pecs is one of the better stylists, but I actually like Mo better, but like I said all the other guys are good.
Also, for incredible beauty treatments and massages, make sure you go to Helen, who work in the back room. She gives masterful massages and also provides a vast array of beauty treatments (waxing, nails etc…). My wife has her nails done there and I she says she does a great job for a great price.

This place is no longer called Nicos Barber but St Johns Wood Barbers… you cannot miss it though… it has the sign «Barbers» on the front…
So now… this gents barbers is run by Gary, a nice no-​nonsense kinda guy who runs a tight ship. The barbers area is in teh front and at the back they have a men’s grooming area (which I confess I have never myself used… yet).
This is where I have had my hair cut for the last six years and I am happy to say throughout that time the prices have been and still remain fair. If you ask them nicely they will give you a nice warm towel treatment after your cut and its a real treat.
By far their best stylist is a guy called Pecs (I have probably spelt that incorrectly) but he is the one I would highly recommend.
Call and make an appointment — they are hard working but they get busy… and do tell them Agi sent you!!!
