Starbucks

My friend wanted a frap from Nero… I said yeah that’s cool… but I am going to get mine from Starbucks. The coffee frap with semi skimmed milk and a peppermint shot is just spectacular every time. And this is a PERFECT location because you can take your drink and sit on the common.

This Starbucks is not very big, it is not overly comfortable or has exceptional friendly staff but: Somehow the customers here are all goodlooking!
I really enjoyed coming here the first time and I came back again and didn’t get disappointed at all! The second time was also a great sunny day and I could sit outside and enjoy the sunshine! Absolutely great!

There really isn’t any star quality about this bucks.
9 out of 10 times that I go here, I have problems logging onto the internet. I’m siting in the café and it’s giving me two bars. What is that about? Two bars seriously! By bars I mean fans things.
In addition to this there are never enough tables. Perhaps there are, but whenever I go in there, there is never one by a plug sockets available. Maybe they know I’m coming.
Other than that it’s a good location and well, you know what they serve there.

To start with let me just say that I am a Starbucks junkie. Seriously, I think I’m like one step from needing an intervention. I have at least one venti drink a day, sometimes two, on a really bad day three. As I get on the tube at Clapham Common every morning this tends to be my Starbucks locale of choice more often than not. The drinks are the same more or less than in any other Starbucks. Although they did run out of frappuccino bases a few weeks ago, and they stayed out of them for about 3 days, which I find unacceptable. I mean, surely Starbucks has ways of shipping in more frappuccino mix overnight? My major gripe, however, is that the staff here are unbelievably slow. I have never spent so much time standing around waiting for my drink to be made. Often I watch one person at the till taking my money, then shuffling off to slowly start my drink, while meanwhile there are up to two others wandering about the shop sweeping or rearranging mugs on a display. Surely one of them could go behind the counter to make my drink whlie I’m paying the person at the till so that I can get out of there faster?! I mean, more often than not in the mornings especially, most of us don’t like to have to wake up any earlier than we already do, and as I’m already paying such an extortionate amount for that latte, surely they can do it in a timely and friendly fashion?!

I rarely go to Starbucks but as this is next to where I work I pop in there if I want to treat myself. The staff as always are very social, if not a little scatty sometimes. There is not a lot of seating compared to some branches and there are only to comfortable material chairs which people always want to grab, the rest are just normal table and chairs which is a shame. This starbucks from what I have seen is kept quite clean and tidy with staff on hand to collect empty cups and plates. They always have well stocked sandwiches and copies of The Times which unlike others never seem to sell out!
