Starbucks is Starbucks… However this branch felt more loved than the rest! We had several coffees here and always find the staff friendly and helpful. I have not tried their food but it seems fresh and appetising.

I’ve been to this Starbucks a couple of times and I’m super disappointment. It’s always dirty — there’s trash on the floor and it’s just not very inviting. It doesn’t have the same relax atmosphere that I’ve found in most Starbucks(to just sit down, read, and drink a cup of coffee). The staff is nice but the place is a mess.

For all of you idiots still drinking Americanos, Flat Whites and Long Blacks — haven’t you heard that espresso-based coffee drinks are sooooo 2007? Really good coffee needs to be fresh-ground from selected beans then shoved into some super-high-science Stanford-engineered vacuum steel filter pressure system that looks like some Sci-Fi cell regenerator and costs 10K. That system is called Clover(i.e. coffee lover) and is owned by Starbucks in only 4 locations in London. Clover-made coffee is so good it makes your veins tickle. Smooth, bitter-less and wonderfully punchy. I implore you to try it. If you don’t then maybe Starbucks will send this machine back to the USA where they are in high demand. Then you’ll be back to shitty Italian– or Australian-style coffee and dodgy tax arrangements. Trust me — Clover coffee. It’s cheaper than a latte and better than crack.

Hooray for Starbucks and caffeine. While I think that there is way better coffee out there to be had, there’s nothing like the consistency and features of the corner Starbucks. I actually wonder if there are more Starbucks in London than there are pubs. A heretical thought that could well get me thrown out of the country! Anyway, this location is like most, with a couple of coolers of pastries and sodas, plus sandwiches that can be warmed in the panini press. The coffee is usually a little burned and over-roasted, and this Starbucks is no exception. Lots of tables in the back, with power outlets along one wall that are usually taken up by laptop users with their cups of coffee. Starbucks does have free wi-fi, sort of. If you top up a Starbucks card with £5(which you can use up right away) and register it, you can access any Starbucks in the UK for an unlimited time. Bonus: Two loos(«toilets» in American) in the back.

Looks like an itty bitty shop, but the seating is in the back.

Just your normal everyday run of the mill Starbucks, so I thought. I was mistaken when I got to the counter. The gal who took my order was apparently having a bad day and was super rude. You never know what the last customer was like, so no biggie. I received my coffee, slice of bread and happily found a table where I could check my email and update FB. Minus the bad service it was one of the best two hours spent on my trip. If only I had brought the adapter for charging my laptop…
