Probably one of the nicer Starbucks that I’ve been to. Inviting and comfortable décor, a bright and open corner location with large windows, rounded out by friendly baristas who anticipated my needs before I verbalized them. The advantage that they have over the local independents: they open earlier. When I need my coffee, I don’t want to wait around for it.

This Starbucks is quite cosy, it was refurbished recently and is now in line with the current branding, unfortunately this means no sofa :( Starbucks to me = cosy sofa with a hot drink on a cold day, I’m quite sad they have gotten rid of the sofa, but I guess this means that there is more space for others. They still have comfortable seating but many many more tables and chairs. They have a bar type seating area by the window to charge your phones/laptops etc(you have to provide your own power supply). They aren’t overly friendly here(not compared to other Starbucks I’ve been to). There is outdoor seating, but it’s pretty much on the main road, so you may prefer to sit indoors.

There’s nothing massively interesting you can really say about a Starbucks is there. However, if you need somewhere to have a quick meeting place in W1 and don’t have a private members club to go to this is great. It’s just far enough down Great Portland Street to not be rammed and full of tourists and there are lots of seats and tables.
