This Starbucks is a really good Starbucks in my opinion. It is located on the main Kilburn High Road, close to the overground station. It is spacious and has plenty of chairs and tables with power points to do some work. I always see quite a few people working here so it is an ideal place to do some work. The one thing I love about this place is the fact that it is open till 11pm. Which is a rare thing in London as there are only two others I know that are open late which is St Pancras and Piccadilly Circus. The staff are friendly, polite and courteous, they are good at complex orders. I would come back here if I was in the area.

Good service and nice staff, clean environment and well organised. Even though we were here late a Sunday evening it seems much nicer than those in the city centre. Finally I could get my hands on a pumpkin spice latte

Awful customer service. I came in here as a partner from the US and they where not nice at all. We had already stopped in a few other Starbucks during our trip and they didn’t treat us bad at all. We where leaving tomorrow and walked 40 minutes here to finally pick up our souvenir mugs. We went to give her our partner numbers and the lady at the register said ID or partner card. Fist off, they don’t send us cards anymore in the US so that shouldn’t be a thing and secondly for 9 days no one had carded us the entire trip. So we left our things at home and ventured here. This lady refused to use our numbers. Even if I proved it was me via my facebook. Don’t worry, I already called corporate for your poor attitudes and partner customer service. Apparently Americans aren’t rude but these set of partners sure are. Oh and asking for a supervisor, over a 20 minute wait. I’m sorry we really step up to the plate back home.

An extract from my recent visit here: Cashier girl: do you have a loyalty card? Me: hands her loyalty card Cashier girl: you’ve been cheating on us… Me: what? Cashier girl: this is a Costa Coffee card… Me: ye… sorry about that, they do it better… Cashier girl: well this is awkward… She was fine in the end… at least i’m pretty sure my coffee didn’t taste funny after that encounter! It’s true… I usually prefer Costa Coffee or Caffe Nero as the quality of the coffee is much better and they don’t use as many syrups but during the holidays I love their Gingerbread Latte. This is my local Starbucks and I usually like to come here and do some work when out of the office as it’s nice and spacious and they have plenty of chairs and tables with power sources. They also usually have a pretty decent playlist on which is great if i’ve forgotten my headphones! They open later than most coffee shops in London, until 11pm, and the staff are friendly and make a nice coffee with a smile.

I do like Starbucks. As far as branches go, this is one of the better ones. It’s a long narrow shop but has a relaxed feel to it. The staff are very friendly. If you want a quite stop to catch up on the Internet, this branch of Starbucks is ideal. The only negative I have us the seating outside seems to be taken up by customers who decide to spend the whole afternoon there, rather than drinking their coffee and moving on.

The Kilburn high Road branch of Starbucks is slightly atypical in its layout. Long and thin in its design, it feels slightly disconnected between the counter area and the seats. Since the other branch of Starbucks locally(Maida Vale) has had a rather snazzy facelift, the Kilburn high Road branch is now looking tatty and dated. Time for a refit methinks! The clientele here are a strange old bunch. Mainly, it seems they come here to use the Wi-Fi. Therefore, the main atmosphere inside is that of numerous Skype conversations and furious Facebooking-types. I must say, the majority of the staff here are lovely and, while maintaining a line of respect between customer and server, know how to be engaging, charming and bring a smile to people’s faces. And that’s what we want right? Well, that and coffee that doesn’t taste burnt. Oh. Ooop.
