Starbucks

You can’t go wrong with Starbucks, after all, the menu is the same everywhere and always good to chill at. This Starbucks is pretty nice, with pretty walls and a good space to be working in.

Starbucks are ramping it up in the U.S., or at least in New York, unfortunately this hasn’t filters down to branches in the UK yet. Coffee isn’t bad, tastes like Starbucks, but it’s nothing special.

Suuuper busy location but they have their store very well-​handled. Hoards of people roll in and they get to work like busy little elves. Everything’s relatively well organized and the staff is pretty upbeat. I’m sure I’ll be coming here often when I pass through Waterloo.

Considering the high profile location of this Starbucks, it unfortunately doesn’t come up to the usual standard.
Upon arriving here and placing an order on a busy Thursday afternoon, the staff had no idea what was going on and there was a lack of communication between the servers. This was either because the management is poor or there’s so many staff behind the counter that they can’t communicate properly.
I ordered a medium hot chocolate, a medium mango and passionfruit, and a ham and cheese toast.
The drinks were served immediately, however I was stood at the counter waiting for the toast for a long long time. I kept asking and being told that the machine was still heating up, but after 25 minutes of asking I was finally handed a cold toastie in a greasy bag (it had obviously been left not the side for a while). I was also told that they had finished toasting it a while ago but hadn’t got it out to me. I complained and then had to wait a further 10 minutes while the found another and toasted that instead.
Considering how this was meant to be a short trip, it unfortunately turned into a chore. Toilets here are also out of action currently. I would avoid this place until they improve their standards.

Today I had a lovely pint of soy chai tea latte at this very Starbucks and it resulted in a pleasantly spent half hour. There was also a monk in the corner wearing headphones and using a laptop. He singlehandedly earned this Starbucks an extra star.

starbucks have got the best coffee, from the way it smells it gets you addicted to it, i love it. first thing i do every morning is grab a cup and the smell is lovely, it goes well it cookies.

Starbucks is it’s own word used to describe itself, really.
You know what you’re going to get most of the time in terms of quality of coffee and service anywhere in the world.
Of course, what sets certain stores apart are the individuals who work there that give you something a little extra. For me, and at this Starbucks which is the closest to my workplace, it’s the smiles I get in the morning. And sometimes, I’ve even been lucky enough to get a Venti when I’ve ordered and paid for a Grande sized coffee. And that my friends, is the reason I keep going back to Starbucks.
