Been to Troia last evening and really enjoyed the great tasting mediterranean food. We regularly go to some mediterranean restaurants in the New York/New Jersey area of USA, however, this place is better than all other places we have been to, so far, for mediterranean food. They atually have more vegeterian option than all other mediterranean restaurants we have been to. Borek was definitely appetizing. My husband ordered adana kebab and I ordered veg dish moussaka. The food felt refreshing and delicious. I ordered hot chocolate which was okay as it was made from cocoa powder unlike real chocolate which we like, while my husband loved the liquior coffee he ordered. For a perfect finish, baklava was our choice and we must confess, it was indeed the best baklava we have ever had. Would definitely come here again. I am sure if Troia would be in New York/New Jersey, we would be their regular customers.

Tasty food, good service, nice part of town. Nice décor. I got the bourek, which was excellent. I wish I would have gotten another order. For my main course I got the iskender, which is a mixed kabob type dish(Chicken, Lamb, and Minced Lamb) with a yogurt sauce. The meat was very good except I found a hair in my minced lamb kabob. Very unfortunate as I was planning on giving this place 4 to 5 stars.

The restaurant was full when we enterded it. Although we reservated we got a tiny place at the toilet door. The chairs were too low, the table too high. The atmosphere was very crowded, so we left the restaurant. On our way out the waiter told us he had some other tables that came available, but we were already done with it.

The staff are friendly and the menu is mainly Turkish, the restaurant is decorated to make you feel that you are sitting somewhere in Turkey but does lack atmosphere . We tried the lamb moussaka and the spicy beef stew which arrived very quickly both were tasty but nothing special. Overall it was pleasant experience but it did not leave me thinking that I wanted to go back again!

I do not give out a lot of 5 stars. But for the value Troia deserves it. People should take note and try it. The food was quality from the first taste. All ingredients were fresh and the dishes home made including the dessert we had. Our starters were the feta and peppers and the Hummus. Both were extremely tasty. The feta was smooth and creamy and the rocket salad it was over was very fresh. I had the Iskander platter which was the mixed grill kabob(lamb, chicken and ground lamb) with the bread and yoghurt. Flavors were amazing. My wife had the chicken shish kabob. Very moist and tender with good flavor. The dessert was a home made baklava. The nuts was finely chopped and it was just sweet enough. It was paired with vanilla Movenpick ice cream. Large enough to split. All this for 58£ with the service. Really awesome.

This place has potential, it’s in a great location and the décor has a lovely, Arabian feel to it, but the place is a bit lacklustre mainly because of the service. When I called to make a reservation, they didn’t really seem to register what I was saying and even though they had confirmed the reservation, they didn’t seem to know I had made a reservation when I got to the place. Even though the waiters were polite, most of them seemed quite ingenuine. The food came fairly quickly and it was quite nice, but nothing special, so paying £35 for two main dishes and a beer seemed quite steep for a mediocre service and standard food.

Generous serving sizes. Our dishes arrived promptly and piping hot, which was fabulous on a winter’s day. Food was very tasty, service was good and the ambiance was great.

The Turkish food was excellent– but the items on the menu for tourist — fish and chips, hamburgers, etc– are not worth trying. The fish was mainly bread. Took my visiting family here before a visit to Parliament– and the reviews were very mixed. So don’t try the pub food here– but try something else and avoid disappointment.

Lamb casseroles were amazing. Fair prices for London. Especially being next to the London Eye area. Service was remarkable as well. We sat outside and it was very nice outside. Would definitely come here again and they had wifi

Stopped by for lunch. Attentive service, great atmosphere, delicious food! Had the borek and calamari starters. Tasty but not quite crispy enough. Fryer temperature too low perhaps? The lamb kabab was excellent –perfectly grilled and tender! My husband enjoyed his mixed grill very much. For dessert we shared baklava which was served with a scoop of strawberry ice cream. Went very well with my fresh mint tea! Everything was fresh and flavorful!

What a great place to stop and have lunch after visiting the London eye. We’re trying to avoid the rain so we stopped in and had some hummus and pasta and wine. I know those don’t sound like they go together but it was actually quite scrumptious. The location is fantastic, right down by the river. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a quick pitstop in between tourist attractions.

The pasta has good flavor that we can finish it all at once or maybe we’re very hungry! The fish and chips taste good but a bit oily after a few bites. Yet the service is very friendly and nice and the foods are ready soon very efficient!

Good quick Mediterranean lunch at Southwark. Only drawback was the constant vapor smoke drafting down the patio. Hummus was fantastic. Chicken tender and flavorful.

After watching the fireworks on the Southbank, Isabel B and I wandered in here. Buzzy vibe but not full. Beautifully decorated on a Middle Eastern theme with some lovely, colourful and ornate lighting. I’m assuming the chairs were intended to be authentic but they were really low. It felt odd sitting in them. We were approached twice to order and then took a long time to actually receive our orders. Drinks came first. I had a Turkish, dry white wine which wasn’t bad. However, the starter didn’t turn up. When the mains arrived I was given a seafood stew when I had ordered a salmon stew and it was kinda average. But by this point I couldn’t be bothered to point it out. Don’t get me wrong, the staff are nice. It’s just the service is all over the place. We were then asked to move to accommodate a larger group and were offered free tea to compensate, which they ensured we took advantage of. We had Baklava for dessert which was okay but didn’t blow me away. So, pretty as the venue is and nice as the staff are, this is place is kinda meh.

For the service, this place deserves 5 stars. It was attentive, without being overbearing, and the waiters were very friendly, especially given that this is such a touristy area. The food is more like a 3.5. We just had a few mezze plates so can’t give a full review, but based on what we had, that’s the rating I would give. There are so many amazing Mediterranean/Turkish restaurants in London, it’s hard to give it more. The falafel was amazing. The borek was pretty good. The tzatziki, baba ghanoush and vine leaves were all average. The dessert has just been described by mr as heavenly. We had the apricots. It was 4 delicious little bites, but the cream in the middle of the plate tasted like squirty from a can. I mean I like squirty from a can, but it’s an unusual choice to serve in a restaurant.

Amazing food! The chicken and lamb grill are superb. The baklava was one of the best I’ve ever had. For a first meal in London it exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended.

Great location, close to Westminster Abbey and London Eye. Quite crowded, but the service was fast and the staff was nice and always within reach. The menu is rather simple but I think everyone will be able to find something for themselves. Has some turkish and mediterrean dishes. I took pasta with salmon and green siding salad — both were quite good and well composed although the salad had a bit too much vinegar. The place is quite stylish yet simple — good place to hang out with friends. Nothing exceptional, yet a decent default option.

Kind of expensive and kind of bland. I got the beef shish, and it was salty and dry. The mixed starters were nice though. I’m not into hooka, but my friend wanted to do it. It costs £20 per thingy, though you can have as many people as you like on each. Should last about 2 hours. Overall not bad, but not stellar. The service is nice enough, particularly for the hooka. Also they gave a free cake to a birthday boy. My only real gripe is the price, though. As a side note, this is a fantastic place to take any nice Italian girl for a date! Trust me, they’ll recognize the restaurant name and give you respect. No joke.
