Stone

Forget the bags the other reviewers have been raving about — the clothes here are unique and fabulous. I know this place is pricey, so try to come during the sales, but it it so worth it.
This was my go to shopping place when I was living here and though some of the clothes are now over 5 years old I still get compliments on them. They were carrying Firetrap before that store even opened in Covent Garden.
If you like quality clothing that’s trendy and different, and if you love when random people come up to you because they just had to compliment your clothes, then you definitely need to shop here. But this place is not for wallflowers.

Stone has a good collection of clothes and things, but the highlight of this store for me are the BAGS!!! I love accessories, and I’m very picky about handbags. Take it from me, you will find some lovely ones in here.
The leather ones are in many colors and tones, and its stylish and unconventional design. Its just great to find a store that does not have the same kind of stuff as all the others! I know, that is a generalization, but whatever the clone based design mould might be, Stone is a step up.
And in high heels too.

Stone is the shop on Upper Street for accessories! They also sell clothes but what lures me into the shop are the bags, jewellery and shoes. My favourite bag is from Stone!
The shop takes up two floors in a fairly small space. It is not overly crowed, they have arranged things well with the space they have. The staff is friendly; they ask if you need help but they don’t hover, they allow you to browse the store in peace. I have spent hours looking at the bags and the jewellery puzzling over what I want. What I love it that I don’t see other people wearing the same jewellery or carrying the exact same bag, which means I’ve purchased something unique.
I also love their shoes but often find myself frustrated when they don’t have my size and I have little feet! They don’t seem to carry volumes of shoes in various sizes like a department store, so I’ve learned that if I see something I like and they have my size I need to pounce to avoid disappointment!

This store is full of gorgous racks of quite dressy clothing and displays of bags and jewelery. I only wish the price tags weren’t so hefty. The quality of the items on sale seem good, and the staff friendly enough, but everything seems priced out of my range.
Quite a good place if you are looking for something a bit different or special.

Ah — another shop where I have to lean back on the bus to make sure I see everything displayed in the window as we pass it. Stone is an expensive shop with lovely, high quality, vintage-​esque women’s clothing. I have bought a blue sweater from here which, when on, looks like it’s a cardy (that sounds like a bad thing — it’s not). It has a fairly wide blue ribbon which wraps around my tummy and the neck line is in the shape of a ‘v’. It is a weaved sweater with different designs down the sleeves but it is also still very plain. I always get told how nice it is. I hate the word ‘nice’ but that’s the phrase that always gets used so I won’t lie. The other top I’ve bought from here is a long sleeved, light green, cotton top with patterned holes along the neckline (which is circular). It always looks brand new when it comes out of the wash and once again, I always receive compliments when I wear it.
Stone has unusual clothes that, I think, almost everyone would love. You can look beautiful, sexy or glamorous in clothes from here. I just wish I had a much better paid job.
