Eine günstige Alternative zum Abendessen. Ein doppelter Sub für 6£ ist ein fairer Preis in London. Anders als im Deutschen Subway bekommt man hier kein Tablett, wenn man vor Ort isst. War aber auch nicht nötig.

Subway is a guilty pleasure of mine. I find it really disgusting and it stinks, but every so often I am drawn to ordering a Meatball Marinara sub on Italian with mayonnaise, lettuce, onions, and salt&pepper. In the sort of wisdom that only comes with age, I now forgo the footlong in favour of a six-incher and for some reason don’t feel absolutely vile afterwards. I was in one of these sub-moods today, after finding the two local Thai places I wanted to try were closed for renovations, and wandering around Earls Court looking for something ‘fresh.’ Well, nothing says freshness like microwaved meat balls served out of a plastic bag. This particular location was clean, run by friendly types, and did brisk business so the food, albeit processed and likely cooked days ago in a commissary, wasn’t wretched. I enjoyed my lunch, which was only 3 quid including a bottle of water, though I don’t particularly like the stink of their bread which has somehow permeated deep into the layers of skin on my fingers. I’ve washed my hands, and can still smell Subway — RESULT!

This branch makes a good sandwich. Was given decent amount of Jalapenos and not stingy on the sauce like some subways are. Has a more than average amount of seats and tables at which to sit and enjoy your sub.
