I was happy wandering around Islington for a day and stopped into this tiny but packed bookshop. It’s one room and literally floor to ceiling with items — mostly books, but also toys, cards, magazines and more. The feel of this place was great. It was filled with book lovers who were happy to just be surrounded by books. I know I was one of them. This is clearly not a shop where you’re going to find that one book you’ve been looking for your entire life — too small. However, this is a shop where if you’re in the mood to browse, you’ll find something great. And the deals! Almost everything I saw was discounted, many of it half off. They had a good selection of new and newish books as well as the classics. It seemed like they had a little bit for everyone … if only a little bit. The other reviews are correct — nothing flashy or chic here. Just a small bookshop for book lovers.

This shop space is taken over from a previous business(moved a few doors down the same street). The Book Warehouse have moved in till they clear stock, so check out some real fabulous deals for some good stuff inlcuding books, music, toys, cards, magazines, accessories. Mostly end of stock or end copies they sell at half the price. Nothing flashy or glamorous about the brand, only practical and affordable.

I really can’t shop in places that are too big, its just too busy, too overwhelming and you can never find something truly worth your while and your money. This is applicable for bookshops too, I dislike going into places like Borders or Waterstone’s, and for all those people like me The Book Warehouse was created. All sorts of books, puzzles, cards, CD’s and even rubic cubes!(yes! the amazing 1980’s toy!) and other toys! This branch has just opened so it can still look a bit messy but it is bigger than the one in nottinghill, in my opinion is just the right size shop. I love how sporadic it can be, a book on the mesozoic era sitting next to the kama-sutra, and £3 for a rubic cube!(yes, I know I already said that but I haven’t seen them in such a long time!). Their prices are more than competitive and I bought an excellent gift, £10 for the book ‘100 years of Fashion’, and many more of the kind and the price. They can be used but are like new, honestly.
