Excellent service with trendy chic elegance. Decent manicure and blow dry. Full bat and food options making it extremely impressive.

Normally I go to the Painted Lady for all of my nail treatments, but recently won a gift card to check out Cheeky Parlour. I decided to use the 25£ towards a gel manicure. Pros: The venue is really quite nice — with a large open space and lots of products to browse before or after your treatment. The café downstairs appeared to be quite the happening spot and I could see other people getting treatments ordering food and drink straight upstairs while getting their hair/nails done. Everyone who I interacted with was super friendly, service was quick(25 minutes), and under each of the stations was a place to charge my phone. Cons: At 37£ for a gel manicure, 25 – 30 minutes seemed really quick. As a previous nail biter who still picks incessantly, manicures are my biweekly treatment to myself as a reward from not devastating my hands. I’m always astounded at London’s nail prices, especially compared to other major cities like NYC or SF combined with the quick service. I love the whole process of soaking hands, drying, removing cuticles, etc. taking up the entire hour. It was great to test this venue out to compare to the Painted Lady but I have to say I enjoy the intimacy, products(all Aesop) and luxury-American type manicure I get whenever I go to the Painted Lady.

My favourite place for a ‘cheeky’ manicure. The quality of the homemade nail varnishes are incredible and doesn’t chip as quickly as others. When taking friends out for a birthday treat or girly evening out then this is definitely my go to. The atmosphere isn’t clinical which some salons can be, and has a great selection of food and drink. The staff are always great and up for a chat.

Great service and staff. Thinking the prices have gone up lately so is a bit more expensive/in line with other salons. Sadly you don’t get a free nail polish with manicure/pedicure anymore either. Nevertheless they do a great job, it has a great atmosphere and now not only do they offer more colour choice for polish and more services they also have a café/Shoreditch style chillout downstairs perfect for a lunch/dinner/breakfast get together. A really great place to have a pamper session/catch up with friends.

Haven’t had services done there but I shop in the store occasionally. I like the café downstairs and the staff are so sweet and helpful! Definitely ask them for product recommendations, they have always been so friendly and eager to help. They no longer sell the Cowshed products which I was disappointed with but otherwise I can’t complain!

I love Cheeky’s — it’s such a fun parlor to get glammed up for an evening out. Located on the vibrant Redchurch, the location is really ideal. I’ve been twice for their mani-pedi and they really do a great job. The beauticians are sweet, thorough and leave your nails perfectly painted. Unlike most nail salons, my manicure lasted almost two weeks(and it wasn’t shellac) and the pedicure for far longer. My one wish is that they did both the mani and pedi separately, but I understand for the sake of time, it makes more sense to have them done at the same time — I just enjoy them separately because who wants to rush being pampered?

I picked this place from the Time Out list of best hairdressers in London and they were not lying. Although I live in NY I always have the feeling that the hairdressers in London have a better understnading of how to deal with short haircuts for women. It seems everyone every woman in NY has long glossy locks. So boring. Anyway the salon is on the 1st floor, so you need to go through the coffee shop on the ground floor and find the stairs, but the waitress was very helpful in finding the way. The service was impeccable all the way through. sadly I only had an hour for my haircut as I had to rush to get a train. This meant I was also rushing the hairdresser along. She still did a splendid job. I got out with a great haircut and made my train as well.

Cowshed/Shoreditch House affiliated. Great experience(better than our Pimps and Pinups experience which was also good). Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. My cheeky blow was excellent, long-lasting and not pricey either– wish I could transport the stylist home with me! Hopefully Toronto will get more places similar to Cheeky and less like Blo Bar which has an aesthetic that blows.

I seem to have had a totally different experience to the previous two reviewers! Initially I decided to get my hair done there, as I’d just come out of hospital and couldn’t figure out how to have a shower without getting my stitches wet. They washed and blow dried my hair brilliantly twice and were charming, helpful, and the whole experience was lovely. After having such a great time with the hair side, I thought I’d get my nails done. I’ve had two manicures so far, which are just simple polish jobs, but it’s been lovely, my technician has given me a little hand massage with each manicure and I’ve left with perfect nails, and super soft hands(I need to get some of their hand cream…) Did I mention that they let you take the polish home with you? Yup! You pick your colour and get to take a lovely fresh bottle of gorgeous polish home with you. All for £15! I mean, seriously, how can you not be excited by that? PS: They definitely do appointments now(a previous reviewer said they didn’t)

I went to Cheeky during its launch to take advantage of the super cheap introductory prices — just £1 to get your nails shaped and painted. The atmosphere is spot on, with really friendly staff and lots of places to sit and relax while you wait for a nail technician to become available. There is a food and drink area which has a small menu offering cakes, quiches, juice, alcohol, tea and coffee. Unfortunately, you can’t book in advance so, unless you arrive at a very quiet time, getting a coffee and flicking through magazines seems to be pretty much part of the experience. The usual prices for nails and hair are quite reasonable, considering that this beauty parlour is run by the same company behind Cowshed. They don’t offer a full manicure, so at £10 for a shape and paint(with a free bottle of nail colour to take home) I’d say it’s fairly good value if you just want a quick fix. Having nail art will vastly increase the price — especially if you’re like me and prefer to have the whole set done — it’s £1.50 per nail! My experience was somewhat marred by the sullen attitude of the woman doing my nails. However, I think I was just unlucky, as the other nail technicians seemed really chatty and nice. Don’t get me wrong — I’m not expecting for someone to actually feign interest in my day, but a little bit of interaction and friendliness doesn’t go amiss! My nail art also looked a bit amateurish, so my advice would be not to bother having nail art — it bumps up the price of your manicure and the options are fairly limited. For a special occasion, or before a big night out, this is a fun place to come with a friend. You could eat lunch or have a coffee depending on the waiting time, and after your treatments you could have a go in the ‘selfie studio’, which is free to use. Despite its name, I think you’d have to be a bit pathetic and vain to go in there alone!
