I really like this place and ithas grown on me. although I did miss Notting Grill I really dig the block of square chips and the food is preety excellent. Sidebar, they make a killer bloody mary. Have returned many times.

Enjoyed a fantastic meal on the terrace of the Clarendon last night. Amazing original cocktails and delicious light summer menu.

I’m not a fan of overpriced food coupled with poor service. Ordered from the set dinner menu and got the portland crab linguine and seared pollock. Both were mediocre and bordering on the oily/salty side. I was excited about my dessert — sticky toffee pudding, but was not served it along with the other guests. Before I could ask for it, the waiter had given us the bill… I reminded him of my order and he looked really confused even though he had taken my order. Came back to the table when everyone had demolished their desserts and said it would take some time for my order. I told him to forget about it. My main complaint is that when you go to a supposedly high quality expensive restaurant — you should receive service that is worthy of the prices.

This place is no longer called The Notting Grill and also no longer owned by AWT. It has now reopened under the even less imaginative name The Clarendon. It made promises of being turned into a neighbourhood gastropub. Oh well, they must be aiming at the Holland Park end of the neighbourhood with one-course special offer meals starting at £13.95 and two courses advertised at £15.95 or thereabouts. A peak through the windows today confirmed this suspicion. I spotted a visibly well-healed clientele and I wouldn’t be surprised to spot David Cameron and chums here. Mind you, they must be doing something right, as the place was quite busy on a grey Sunday afternoon. Quite a few years and several names/owners ago I hired the upstairs bar for a party. It opens out on a generous roof terrace — perfect in Summer!

This restaurant in owned by Antony Worral Thompson and it’s located in a quiet residential street not far from Holland Park tube. The service is here is exemplary, with friendly and attentive staff. I had the rare breed pork which was good but not amazing. However, my wife’s fillet steak was the best I have ever tasted, and I will definitely be having a steak when we go back again! Recomended!

The Notting Grill is owned by celebrity TV chef Antony Worrall Thompson. Don’t let that put you off. We made a reservation for an early Sunday lunch and got there before the crowd. The place was quite homey, lots of dark wood, big windows, and eclectic bits(although I haven;t been there in a year or so). My entire group thought everything was delicious. I had the best roast beef and the best bread-and-butter pudding of my life. They have not been surpassed since. I am serious. Their Sunday lunch is a set price, and at £25 it’s not set low, but it’s stunningly good. You get bread and olives; starters like field mushrooms on olive toast with melted Tallegio; the traditional Sunday roast(beef or lamb), 100-day Ark Farm free range chicken, or char-grilled fish of the day; and a couple of puddings(though anyone who doesn’t eat the brioche and butter pudding needs a slap); plus tea or coffee. The service was both efficient and comfortable. If you want to splurge on an excellent Sunday roast, this is a wonderful place to do it.
