Followed the Unilocal app here as the highest rated bar along this road, in the hunt for some pre-drinks before a friend’s bday nearby. We weren’t disappointed — it had a lively buzz without being overly rammed early evening on a Saturday(tho there were a few rowdier peeps who had defo been drinking for hours already!). I was in the middle of a bit of a deep & meaningful with my mate(not the right time in hindsight, esp given the background music was steadily getting louder!) so we perched by the bar for a while then moved to grab a couple of stools which was a bit quieter. I had a camden IPA on tap whilst the chirpy barman was happy to give my mate a bit of guidance on trying something a bit more unusual from their massice selection(though I think he actually ended up preferring my beer!). Not somewhere I’d spent a whole evening, but a very solid choice for a drink if you’re in the area.

Great range of beers(as is to be expected at a Draft House) and tasty food. Can be a good spot to catch sporting matches too. Service is always decent and it’s just a cool place to hang out. Definitely worth dropping in if you’re in the area.

My favourite bar in London. It does have the advantage of being one of our locals — certainly when we lived closer to Battersea Bridge. But the fact we returned recently for our anniversary meal after a year-and-a-bit of travelling and living elsewhere really says something for the place. Let’s be honest first however, we come here for the food first, and the bar second. I’m not one for loud, packed places but the location of this Draft House probably makes it a little quieter, and all the better for it. Most of the time the patrons are friendly and considerate(though quiz night got rather rowdy!) and the staff are all excellent. I do love their beer rotation, as is customary for the draft house, and there are loads of bottles of craft beers and drinks from abroad that make for a tough selection every time I’m there. But it is the food that is my main love in this place; great seasonal menus which provide something different nearly every time I visit. I am especially a fan of their strip steak(pro tip: ask for a side of their tasty hollandaise sauce, it goes really nicely!) if you’re looking for one of the staples. Their onion rings are good too, and my wife has taken a real shine to their sticky toffee pudding. So basically, this ticks all the boxes for me: Good atmosphere? Check. Friendly staff? Check. Excellent food? Check. Brilliant beer selection? Check. Awesome He-Man wallpaper on the way to the bathroom? Oh yes.

Years have passed between my first visit to the Westbridge Draft House and my most recent visit. We last stopped in to celebrate our first anniversary. Yes, we chose a fancy pub for our anniversary meal. This place is pretty much our favorite spot to eat in London and we were excited to have a special meal there! The food remains beautiful. The service remains great. On the occasion of our last visit I had tweeted about wanting to head over there, but had to wait for the rain to stop. The pub tweeted back«we’ll have a table waiting!» and I presumed they meant that in a way of «you’re always welcome here» but when we arrived they actually had reserved us a table under my name! Just going the little extra makes so much difference. I love this place.

I came here with a friend last night. We both haven’t been here for ages. They beer selection is outstanding, including some Bavarian classics. They even have the right glasses for the beer. Something I appreciate having grown up in Bavaria. We ordered some food as well. My friend opted for burger and I for mac cheese. The pasta dish is growing in popularity on this side of the pond. Having said that their version is not as good as you usually get in the states. I prefer a stronger cheese, especially if it is served as a main. Staff at the bar is super friendly and atmosphere very homely. A good place to hang out and have some food if you get hungry. A big plus is their outside space. We enjoyed a late summer evening in their backyard.

The Anchor Porter for only £4.50, this is a good offer. For tasty chilling beer, try the mentioned beer before and also the Peroni Red. Be careful and patient if you go there because often you just can’t find where to sit. This place is so full in the evening.

Vibrating nicely on a rainy Saturday. 5’s for the sundae and the scratching(Californians, think chicharones looking like cheese straws — that’s pork love right there!). A 3 for the Koreatown chicken(nice idea, but dry — i’d recommend a hit of fresh garlic). Not sure what I was thinking — all signs point to Belgian, so why’d I go Korean?

These guys have a few pubs round London now and they do put a focus on interesting beers. This venue might only serve 3 ales, but raise things with a host of keg beer options. Unfortunately whatever beer I picked was only average. My visit was somewhat spoilt by a gaggle of posh gits in the yard, near where I sat. As if breaking into ‘My Darling Clementine’(followed by the traditional horsey round of laughs) every five minutes wasn’t annoying enough one of the girls deliberately poured half a drink she didn’t want on the floor and didn’t even have the decency to look embarrassed 10 minutes later when a waitress came out and tried to clean it up.(This is not the pubs fault obviously but obnoxious clientele like this can put you off a place!)

These guys have my favorite ales. Certainly the best ones in London. Quite a big choice as well, although I have my few favorites. Not too close to my flat, but it’s absolutely worth the walk! Recommended for ale-lovers!

Goose Island Matilda + hog roast + bonfire night = 5 stars Seriously good selection of beers: there were a few favourites like Kernel in there, but the selection of good American beers was really impressive. Just get some Westmalle and De Praal in there and I won’t need to go anywhere else!

150 – 200 different beers. That’s all you need to know. A selection of beers that must comfortably put it in London’s top 1% of bars for sheer choice and instantly qualifying it for 5 star status. The bar’s other charms thus come as pleasant bonuses: The friendly staff, who are all-too-eager to let you try any number of the many beers on tap; the comfy and slightly quirky interior; the decent-looking food(Laura Kate S’s and Joy C’s endorsements mean I’ll be trying it next chance I get), and the tables outside overlooking Battersea Bridge road. Only downside? It’s on my commute home! Not stopping off for a swift pint or three now that I know what lurks within could prove difficult.

The Draft House was one of the first pubs/restaurants I’ve been to in Battersea as I recently moved to the country and area. I was surprised at how good my steak was for a pub. I went back again last month and ordered the eggs florentine which is probably the best I’ve had compared to any brunch hot spots in NYC. They also have a large beer selection which is no doubt why they are called The Draft House. Besides the great food and drinks, I am giving it 5 stars because the owner or manager emailed me in response to my comment card at the pub and gave me a free pint of beer. I haven’t redeemed it yet but I have and always will recommend this place to anyone around the area for a great friendly service, welcoming atmosphere, to die for food, and thirst quenching drinks.

The Westbridge is very, very good. In fact, so good, that if it wasn’t in literally the middle of nowhere I would give it five stars. We were over there for a birthday party on Saturday evening and had a booked an enormous table for much eating and drinking. My steak was delicious, full marks to the chef for the béarnaise and attention to cooking it rare. I think everyone else had similarly good experiences, although nobody got oysters. Must do that next time. The ale selection consisted of a very well kept Adnam’s bitter, plus a couple of interesting pints from the Wandle brewery locally, enough to keep most people happy. To top it off, there seemed to be many attractive women getting stuck into their real ale too. So, given that distance is relative, I’ll give it 5 stars after all. I had come from Hamburg…
