Decent size gaff. Part of a chain so extensive set food menu. Felt like a local drop in centre. Not the best place. If you just after a pint I would suggest the more local friendly feel of Coopers Arms

A few months ago this would have been a five star review but this place has gone down a little lately. These guys used to do two for one burgers during the day, which was amazing value for my husband and I who are both freelancers and would often pop down there during the day. It seems that it must have been taken over by new ownership recently because the menu has seriously expanded and it seems that they are trying to do too much. I ordered the burger and chips and was sadly disappointed at the quality, especially given that it is now double the price! Hubby ordered the grilled chicken and veggies and was pretty happy. The beer is cheap and the soda water is free, so that’s something. This is pretty much just a normal English pub now. Reasonably priced and plenty of space to sit but not the gem it used to be.

This was our first stop in London after arriving from the US. Ordered the fish & chips like a true tourist. The food was great. The fish & chips were crispy but not at all greasy. The servers were very nice.

Great sized pub. just a quick jaunt on the bus from me so that’s a friggin miracle. Tasty food. Burgers and shtuff. Had a halloumi and mushroom sandwich with chips. yum And events and deals everyday. According to the website at least. Two thumbs up from me.

Board games! Pretty relaxed and nice décor. A good selection of beers and ales at a price. Sunday roasts are average. Nachos by Ruby Jeans were super good but the burger was burnt and had no relish so was super dry. A pretty decent pub for this area, hopefully the atmosphere gets better, a bit square at the moment despite attempts to get the crowds in with a dj. Music quiz on at the beginning of the week too.

The Earl Derby is a nice pub. Worth a try, but don’t expect too much. After reading good comments and reviews about The Earl Derby on Kilburn High Road, I went there a month after it opened. I was once at the place that was there before, and it was not a pub where I wanted to go again. Clearly, they have put some effort into making The Earl Derby a nice place, and it is much better than the old boozer before. This pub looks nice, classic, with a little bit industrial chic by using special light bulbs. — I am not entirely sure if The Earl Derby is probably not too much gastropub for the area and personally, I think the light bulbs do not really match the general upmarket-oriented design of the place. That’s the interior, now to the food. I had a chicken dish unfortunately, it was a bit hit and miss. Some bites were cooked to perfection, others a bit over and dry. I liked the very nice and crispy skin. The skinny chips I had on the side tasted good, nothing special, but proper chips without fault. I ordered a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand with my food, and found it a bit too spicy. Overall, the wine reminded me a bit of a muscat wine, which is probably why I did not like it too much. The wine was good, just not my favourite flavours. I must say, the service was very friendly, but I was a little bit surprised about how long it had taken them to clear the table when I arrived, as it was not too busy. Overall, The Earl Derby is a good addition to the area, but since I came across raving comments just after it opened, I must admit that it fell short of my expectations and did not blow me away.

On a slightly tatty stretch of Kilburn High Road it’s worth checking into this pub. Probably the only one that has hot cider on the Kilburn strip? Food is not bad, but better is the range of beers and ales, pub Games, and nicely spaced tables. Will be back.

Now I am happy to say I had a wonderful time at The Earl Derby. First of all not only was there mulled wine(delicious) but there was also mulled cider! This is a HUGE win for me as I find it hard to find these days seeing as it is the less popular sibling in the mulling world. Food: The food available not only looks beautiful but is also brilliant in terms of portion(I hate ordering food only to be left hungry). Having a table of four I am pleased to say everyone’s order was scrumptious and caused envy in all. The venue was very quiet(around 13.00) and great for meetings or just a calm spot to read. Next time I am around I will be back. Just you wait.
