I’ve tried Good Earth twice. First time, I got the sole Thai entrée, a green curry that was quite tasty. The staff seemed quite friendly, and I thought, «excellent! Found a nice Thai/Chinese restaurant.»
Then I went back a second time and tried the Chinese. AWFUL. The fried rice was the most tasteless, under-spiced fried rice I have ever had. And my Kung Pao chicken was the most OVERspiced Chinese meal i’ve ever had. All I could taste was hot chillis — they totally overdid it. As someone of East Asian heritage I can tell you, any Chinese Cook worth their salt should know these dishes inside and out. They’re just not that hard.
The staff are always friendly… but that doesn’t make up for lazy, bad cooking.
We won’t be going back.
