Very cosy & adorable place to stay for simple thai foods. And staffs are friendly enough to get you more feeling of rest.

The Great Thai Café is a nice place for Thai food at reasonable prices. I ordered the Pad Thai and tempura shrimp. Although I wish the Pad Thai had been a bit more pungent, the overall flavor was good, and I would come back again to try their other dishes. A small, clean storefront with friendly service. My take-away order was served promptly and with a nice little embellishment of cilantro.

Food is good. Drink is horrible. My cappuccino was cold when it was served. I asked for a new one to be made, only to be served with my old cup being stirred and microwaved. Tasted foul afterwards. I didn’t even drink it. Yet was charged. The receptionist said it could be because of the microwave. Apologised and yet still charged me and expected tips on top. Besides that, food was great. The noodle soup was very delicious. But I had to get a drink elsewhere after and paid £2 for that cappuccino that I didn’t drink at the end. …

My mind has been blown. I had the pineapple cashew stir fried rice with tempura prawns for lunch and am still dreaming about it at dinner time now.

Small storefront with only a handful of tables. Good selection of menu items at a reasonable price. Flavor was good and service was prompt and friendly.

Lunchtime deals at £5.95, and if you work for Auntie then don’t forget to flash your BBC pass for a 10% discount on your dinner. Nom nom nom.

This was my go-to thai place when I lived in london for a few months, as it was just a couple blocks from my flat. Great food, good prices, the place had a nice ambiance(in my opinion), and they were always very friendly! Also a great place to stop for takeaway.

Really great Thai food. And round the corner from the New Media Law office in Little Portland Street. Once a week for sure!

Brilliant place to come for a quick take-away lunch from work. Great filling food which smells good and is reasonably priced too — with almost everything on the menu under £8. The service is fast if you get there early enough but if you are late you will be at the back of a queue reaching all the way to the street outside! If you are in a hurry, order what you can see in the glass table at the counter. If not in a hurry, try some of the interesting stuff on the menu. I am a regular now. A very happy one.

Sometimes I wonder if I should even allow myself to leave reviews for Thai restaurants anymore. I am SODAMNPICKY. Yet, I find myself craving Thai food and wandering the streets of foreign cities looking for it. No matter where I am. So, I was shopping on Oxford and wanting Thai. I was also wanting to ditch the insane weekend crowds. So, I pull out my trusty Unilocal app and find this place. And just a few streets off Oxford. Perfect. Staff were of the friendly/indifferent persuasion. No problem. Ordered my standby Pad Kee Mao. Mentioned I like it spicy. No, really, trust me I like it really spicy. Came out less than mild. Fine, I just piled tons of chili oil on it. It was OK. The good news is that it was fresh, perhaps too fresh. Does that even make sense? I dont know how I feel about raw red pepper slices in my Pad Kee Mao. Also, it was just a tad greasy and lacking any sort of… sauciness. It tasted like they could serve you the same dish and call it Pad Thai or Pad See Eew. But, saying all that it was filing and cheap and fairly good, just didnt hit my Thai-craving spot.

Serves the best lunch menu!!! A little café that serves the best green and red curry in a VERY affordable price, real thai food and unoverrated compared to other restaurants in Central London! The place is so ordinary but the food is brilliant, its like finding a hidden treasure in the city! :P

Really cool for a quick and cheap lunch in central & it’s proper thai food, well spicy and everything! I’ve tried the Pad Thai and the Green curry and I recommend them, they are really good.

If you want Thai fast food this is the place to be. This is a no frills kind of place. The décor is very simple with bright lights and bench seating. The waitress was friendly and we got our food really quickly. I ordered the Pad Kee Mao which was quite spicy but good and my friend got the Pad See Eu which was mild and slightly sweet. The only downside — greasy noodles. I was burping grease the rest of the night.

This place is what dreams are made of. Sweet Thai dreams, just off Oxford Circus. I came here for some Pad Thai with a few mates that I hadn’t see in a while and it was a great place to park our bums and have a good chin wag away from the maddening crowds. The Great Thai Café is what you’d expect to find in the ‘burbs. It’s not a central London establishment. You’ll find cheap tasty food, plastic tables and non-existent service. You can see why I love it already right?! No? For under a fiver you can stuff you face with hot and tasty noodles. You can actually get a seat and enjoy your food but without having to share a table. This place is tiny and it supports the hard working BBC staff during their lunch break. A lot of the traffic is take out but if you do sit it, it’s all fine and dandy. Don’t expect fine dining. This is great grub on the go. Don’t forget cash, they don’t take cards.

I discovered this little Thai run gem on the way to Oxford Street on a shopping expedition. Tucked away on the corner of Great Portland Street and Mortimer Street, I can’t believe I hadn’t seen it before, however if you are looking for a quick, affordable and delicious pad thai, green curry, red curry, mussaman curry, special fried rice or any other classic thai dish, in the neighbourhood this is the place. The menu has all the favourites but is by no means cluttered. Don’t expect anything flashy, it is set up just like your ordinary café around the corner, little tables with round stools, but the staff are lovely and service extremely quick. There’s your usual range of soft drinks plus they do a range of freshly squeezed juices. There are a good range of Thai’s available in London but I could see this place being a regular haunt.
