I was here with my sons for a beer and we had a great time. The food came hot and tasted even better, washed down with the ale. We were served promptly by a nice boy who made some excellent recommendations from the menu.

This pup is best known for it’s live rock music events. I have to admit that I have not been to any of these events yet, but enjoy the pub nevertheless. The music hall is separated by sound-​proof walls and doors making the pup suitable for anyone.

The lower-​end destination for Herne Hill — it can be a bit aggro in here, but that’s mostly to do with the clientele and the surly bar staff. It’s actually not a bad pub at all, just not my favourite with some decent alternatives a stone’s throw away.
They do have a huge screen for the sports though. Just be sure to wear your England football shirt, regardless of the occasion. If you’ve got shit, faded, tattoos, it’s probably worth having them on display too.

Gorgeous, fabulous ales, huge and imposing… And it turns up in From Hell (the comic book).
Great selection, and I think pretty awesome staff. NG must’ve come on a grumpy day.
Full of live music (cheap or free), solid food, and well-​kept (and well-​poured!) ales.

Visited this pub for the first time yesterday, the beer was OK with quite a good choice of bitters, but the bar staff were downright miserable! I’ve never had to wait 10 minutes to be served when there’s no-​one else waiting!
I’ll be sticking to the Fox and Firkin in future…

Ein sehr schönes, gemütliches Public House in dem man sich fast verlaufen kann. Wir haben bei einen Drink auf der Terrasse gesessen und über die vorbei gehenden Leute etwas gelästert.
Leider ist der Eintritt unter 21 Jahren nicht erlaubt. Da mein Stiefbruder aber dort mit seiner Band spielte, machte man eine Ausnahme. Bei Live-​Musik wird es dort ziemlich voll obwohl es dann EUR 4, — Eintritt kostet. Auch die Getränke sind dann etwas teuerer, ist es aber wert.
