The food was absolutely outstanding! The starter was perfection, we both had black truffle poached egg served with foie gras and confit shallots. For main I had honey glazed duck breast which came with carrots, beetroot and potato gratin. Dessert was star anise roasted pineapple. We also had a few cocktails(pornstar martini). The service was pleasant, friendly and cheeky(when I say cheeky, I mean they were able to rapport with us) It’s pricey when you add drinks in to the cost of the meal but it really is worth every penny!

One word: Salad. It is definitely the best place I found so far to have proper, goodness packed salad for lunch. Of course, degree of goodness depends on the ingredients you put in it — but nevertheless: healthy overall(I count on your health consciousness). Five bases available including lettuce, rocket and spinach. You can mix it up as well. Lots of ingredients to put in it too — including usual suspects of chicken breast, tuna and bacon and some unusual for City salad places like poached salmon(my favourite), chorizo and others that I give myself a word to try but always go for salmon. Their deli counter is blooming with colours and choice of fresh ingredients. But if you’re not a vegetable-liking person — you can have your salad packed with just fish & meat. None will give you a weird look. You then select a dressing — they have about seven types of dressing. Pesto is my personal favourite. All this joy costs £7 for a massive bowl. Everybody in my office complains that they can never finish it in one go. Oh well… I often half eat a sandwich, but I always finish my Larder bowl. Tip: go there before 12.30. Otherwise the queue gets too long but it’s still worth it!
