A really quaint subtle place to see from the outside and if you know your areas you’ll know why in this rather posh backstreets of Islington. They have many good beers I like on tap, above the average price but they had the football on, had a pub quiz one time, outdoor seats for summer is good but what I love most that keeps drawing me back is those pizzas! Really good value and very tasty. I will always consider eating here if in the area. A local gem.

Love this place for their £5 pizza lunch deal. Have many a time sat in there on my own having a pint and a pizza by myself on a quiet afternoon. As a pub though in the evening it’s not my thing, far too bright, not much atmosphere and uncomfortable.

Neighborhood joint that I walk by almost daily and finally decided to try out. They specialize in pizza and I would say they are pretty good. I had the margarita pizza and the crust was perfect! Not soggy and toddler approved on the amount of sauce and cheese. Hubby had the jalapeño pizza and it was much more oily with the protein. Still pretty good though. I will definitely be making my way into this place again and if I want to sit inside with my kiddo — before 7pm.

I love bars that serve their own pizza. Why? Because I like to get fat when I drink. During the week they even discount them to 5 quid! Nice. I did, however, make the rookie mistake of ordering their garlic and rosemary pizza bread, and it was so dry and just tasteless. Like eating a giant, dry crisp. The Regent is a pretty cool bar though, really large and spacious with lots of seatings and screens if you are into the sport thing. It’s seems like a good date venue as it’s quiet enough to chat. Just don’t order the garlic bread.

Whenever we get home after a long day and we don’t feel like cooking, we always end walking to the Regent for dinner. They have lovely pizzas at a reasonable price and we’ve found that 1 pizza and 1 salad is the perfect amount for a dinner for 2. We’ve tried quite a few of the different pizzas(spicy salami, mushroom, chicken…) and have liked them all, though now we’ve been sticking with the margarita and topping it with a ton of their delicious chilli oil! One great tip… they offer a limited pizza menu for £5 for lunch on Monday — Fridays. Also… they have a basement area which slightly smells like a bathroom(due to it’s proximity), but is a great space for watching sports games!

Quite a nice little pub between Angel and Highbury & Islington. Brick oven pizzas, a free jukebox and great selection of bottled and draught beer. Six drinks and two pizzas for £44. Not bad.

This place has a nice buzz to it… comfy atmosphere… free WIFI and GREATTHINCRUSTPIZZAS that are big enough to share, but who’d want too? I know that the cheap bast*rds I usually go with to this pub… well they shant be mooching any of mine! But seriously, their just a bit larger than a ‘pizza express’ pizza, thinner crust, with funkier toppings and usually have a bit of crunch… yum! By day, I have nursed a drink and browsed the web… even had client meetings here as it’s quiet enough to chat without raising your voice. Which makes a nice change. Pizza is like £5 in the day… cheap! After work, the background music plays and a mix of office drinkers and local diners chat chill and munch the night away… It’s not the kind of place you are likely to have a big night out in, but it’s a place where you would have a great start too one!

Been coming here ever since it opened. best pizza i have had in London. Its always fresh and the kids love peeping over the counter to watch it being cooked in the oven. It has shrunk a little in size recently but still delicious! Great value for money especially with the lunchtime offers.

I often joke with friends that the Regent has become my local canteen: a wide variety of delicious brick-oven pizza, a great selection of beers in ales(including a killer India Pale Ale from London Fields Brewery that is served ice cold), a fun atmosphere, great bar snacks(read: the Thai peanuts are unbelievably addictive)… and a large TV that plays major sporting events. What’s not to love? Just about every pizza that I have tried has been a hit, but my favourites remain Potato(no sauce, but perfectly garlicky), Octopus(a variety of shellfish; great with their house-made chilli oil), and Roast Chicken(with an addictive salsa verde). Whether you are in the mood for a pub or for pizza, the Regent is a winner on both counts.

Pub + Pizzeria = Megahit Who would have thought the unlikely combination of two individually buoyant enterprises could amalgamate to create such success! Well The Regent has done it with such humble alchemy. It’s survival of the fittest, or maybe most creative around Islington, the rife comings-and-goings of restaurants, cafes and pubs alike indicate you have to have something special to remain open amidst fierce competition and scrutiny of Angel-epicures, — this certainly checks all the right boxes. The brick oven pizzas are great! Eat-in or take-away, though in busy periods they may not hear the phone to take your order in advance so just show up and order there… My favourite is definitely the roasted vegetable with chicken and pesto, though a fiorentina always goes down a treat too… The pub itself boasts a desirable corner plot on Liverpool road, exploiting the extra curb-perimeter for outdoor seating when the weather is fine. Friendly staff, good beers on tap, cosy and relaxed. Amen.

This is a really great place to catch an Arsenal match if you’re in the area. As its a bit off of the beaten path, it won’t be too crowded. There are also two large screen on the first floor and another downstairs in the basement. There are lots of comfy couches and quite a nice beer selection. The pizzas looked amazing but I have yet to sample it. It all looked amazing. So I’ll definitely have to go back.

I can’t believe this was the first time I visited The Regent. We popped in for a pizza and a beer. Tons of pizza selections. The brick oven pizzas themselves were excellent. Thin crust base with just the right texture and well balanced toppings. A good size too. The pub itself has a buzzing yet laid back atmosphere with a good crowd. A classic jukebox too where you can scroll through the music selection and choose your own tunes for free. Good beer selection on tap including Honeydew, Bombadier, Peroni etc. Decent wine selection also. They do a £5 lunch pizza deal which has to be good value so will try that when I get the chance. Will definitely be back!

I quite enjoyed my quick beer here at the weekend. I’m probably teetering between three and four stars, but I can safely say had I spent longer than an hour here, they’d have bagged four stars so let’s go with that. There’s more interesting beers than the usual pub — Becks Vier, Star, others I can’t pronounce. The pizzas look excellent and it’s a light airy pub. Looked like the had free wi-fi too. Hurrah. I only stayed for one, but I’d come back.

Lovely atmosphere, I felt right at home. The pizzas are fantastic and I have yet to hear a complaint about the other offerings on their menu. Those nursing a hangover on a Sunday morning can hide from the sun in the comfy basement. Not looking at anyone in particular…

I was reunited with The Regent today. It had been too long. I walked several blocks to enjoy one of their £5 lunch pizzas. I always order the spinach because it never disappoints me and I love all the toppings on it, including the baked egg. When it came out of the fire-brick oven and on to my table, I have to admit that the diameter had shrunken a couple of inches since I last enjoyed one. Nonetheless, it is still my favorite pizza place. One of the few in London where I find myself enjoying the crust, which is always a plus! Other than that, I still enjoy the atmosphere. A «modern mess» feel, modern lamps with heavy lacquered tables and mismatched chairs. Not a bad place to get cozy in especially with the free wi-fi!

I can’t figure out if the Regent is a pub or a restaurant. I like to think of it as a pizza place because they have the best pizza. Friends and I often go to the Regent to enjoy a bit of pizza and soak up the relaxed environment. We can sit and talk and laugh, which is always a plus over pizza. I love the pizza with goat cheese. The cheese is perfectly melted and with each bit you taste the goat cheese. The crust is thin and perfectly cooked; I like to save the ends for last. Most of the time we eat at the Regent in the afternoon. Recently I learned that after 8:00 it does in fact become a pub. We were going to eat a bit of pizza there and had a child with us and they told us no kids later in the evening. That was a bit of bummer, because we were looking forward to good pizza, but I guess now we know. The staff was very apologetic, but I’m not surprised because the service has always been good. If you like good pizza this is a good place to drop in. The only down side is selecting what kind of pizza you want, there are so many options and everything on the menu sounds good.

Formerly known as the Prince Regent, this is a great pub to enjoy a pint of real ale and indulge in a bit of surfing — they provide free WiFi. too! The juke box is loaded with decent tunes and the pizzas are great. Check it out.
