The Roasting

Not a bad spot this! I’m here for the second day in a row and what struck me is the number of regulars!
Coffee is good, as is the selection of goodies. The main draw for me is that it is a work-​friendly joint with free wifi and a big central table. On top of this, the sun flows in during the afternoon which is pretty nice, as is the outdoor seating!

It looks inviting from the outside. On a sunny day, it would be great to have claimed one of the seats outside and sip a drink while watching people walk by. The inside looks attractive too. I wasn’t sure at the time, but I think it’s the use of space and minimalism. There are small defined areas where food is displayed. There is enough room to swing a pushchair.
But given we are describing a café rather than an art gallery, it doesn’t quite work. There is a square communal table towards the corner which may fit a dozen or so around it. If you don’t get a seat there, then you are hoping for one of the four raised seats near the window. You feel like you would be lucky to get a seat of it were moderately busy.
I ordered a black Americano to have in. They brought it over to me and it was a nice coffee. I had thought that I would also order something to eat with it, but there was nothing which took my fancy from the few things which were available. But that could be the point: I think this place is much more about the coffee than the food.

Great italian coffee, delicious italian pastries and a small range of italian sandwiches. The interior and exterior design create a lovely ambience (think white and birch wood) — very sleek and modern. It’s a nice café to sit and read through a magazine whilst having a delicious coffee and some food!

Coffee is solid, and the sunlit ambience is perfect for friendly chats or simple reading. I think this place has become my new go-​to in my neighbourhood.
If you’re ever in Pimlico and in need of a quick coffee fix, pop by and you won’t regret it!

I poped in again at The Roasting and I enjoyed myself a delicious coffee! The focaccia with the mortadella is simply delicious. The Christmas atmosphere is magic!

Lovely coffee and probably the best carrot cake I’ve ever had. Not much seating, but free wifi and friendly service. A must-​visit.
