Delicious, delicious pizza! Seriously delicious! Really gourmet! But at a reasonable price. £8−10 per pizza. It comes served on these stone plates or you can get it take away. The pizzas are a great size. Big for one person, but not ridiculous. They are stone baked, with a delicious thinish, gourmet looking crust. They come with mouthwatering gourmet ingredients, like all these different roasted and fresh veggies, cured meats and then topped with fresh and dried herbs. You then get your own bottles of olive oil or chile olive oil to add as you please. If this isn’t enough it’s all served in this cute, non-​scummy, locals pub with a tasty assortment of tap beers and liquors.

There’s something about this place that I can’t put my finger on. Ok, there’s no food on at the moment (no chef) … But as atmosphere goes, it’s a blinder. The clientele are friendly, from all over the place, and the place is warm. The most important thing, for me, is that I’ve found no other place (including many in the homeland — God’s own county, Yorkshire) that can present John Smiths like the staff do here.
Steve and his staff will make you feel welcome, the crowd are friendly and accommodating, and the place has its own resident travelling musician — Matt Hodges, when he’s around.
Finally, it is THE BEST viewing spot for the London Marathon.
