Went this Friday evening and paid £8 entry(bargain compared to other comedy clubs). The lower price made me initially skeptical of what was I about to see, but I went in with an open mind anyway. Drinks are cheap: their house lager is £3.50 per pint. Double gin + tonic were £5.50ish. Comedy: awesome. Obviously comedy is extremely subjective, but the three acts they had on were amazing. Each different, but all of them extremely funny. I should also mention that the host was great, she got the crowd going and was really funny herself. Overall: I’ll be going again, without a doubt.

The best comedy store in London, hands down. Used to be Africa Centre, now they have a much larger venue. Why do I love it? Because it’s certainly the only place where I can discover real fresh talents. And taste real fresh jokes. I often go there weekdays for impro or raw days, and sometimes on late Saturday show. Please, give them a try. If you are cheap, they have free/£1 raw nights. You will love it so much that you will actually want to pay more! :)

Small and tucked under other bars/clubs but well worth the visit. Came here on a Tuesday night to see Shoot From the Hip comedy improv group — it was pay what you want with a recommendation of £15 — well worth it for a hilarious evening out. Am definitely interested to come see other shows. Drinks were average central London prices — toilets could do with a clean — oh and they also sell pizza if you want some food.

.There seems to be quite a few slightly strange five-star reviews about this place. Does this have something to do with the one star review from 2011 that Katherine R wrote? I don’t know, but I will give you my thoughts. The evening that I came here, it was for an improv night. If you’re not sure exactly what that means, think of the TV show, Who’s Line Is It Anyway. And you know how much I paid for entry? Absolutely nothing. Free. And I’m sure you can agree that is a pretty good bargain. And I’m sure you are thinking, «ah, well if the entertainment is free, then the drinks must be a rip-off». Well, no, they were not. I enjoyed a few pitchers of cocktails with my friends and they were pretty decent and really did not cost a huge amount. That truly is a double win in my book. As for the entertainment I saw here on this evening. They were young. Very, very young. It really did make me feel old. Not everything that they did was completely hilarious but large proportion of it was fantastic. One of them in particular really was tremendously good and both in a comedic sense and physically, bore and uncanny resemblance to John Cleese. This guy, I really wish I had taken a note of his name — by all rights, in a few years, he should be a household name. Most definitely, I would like to return here as I was very much impressed by my first visit

This place was amazing. Very good way to spend an evening, very inexpensive and sometimes free and very hilarious. They should put out more seats. Come here and be prepared to laugh your butt off. The host is great, and the guests are really funny. Canadian guest

Pretty good night out with a small bar and stage. Would go again. The night out totally replies on the comedians I think. As with all comedy, don’t sit in the first row unless you want to get a ribbing! They offer really cheap entrance if you come after the first act has started. Drinks are 2−4−1 after the last act finishes, good to know.

They say comedy is the new Rock ‘N Roll and if that is true this is the equivalent of The Caves in Liverpool where The Beatles were found. Don’t be startled on entry, there is a doorway with a till and always a lovely smiling doorman/doorwoman, but apart from that you are lead down a corridor. Surely this isn’t where the venue is?! Then you are lead down a winding staircase. The first time I visited this marvellous club I was worried it was going to be like something out of Alice In Wonderland, and I was kind of right, because this place really is a wonderland. They do comedy 7 nights a week and each night it is a safe bet. They have huge acts from TV, Radio and across the UK comedy circuit who WANT to play this place. This is what a comedy venue should be a low ceilinged, cheap and fun venue. You feel like you’re really a part of something, a really fun shared night where the comics enjoy the show as much the audience. You will regularly see the acts hanging around just to see the rest of the show — something unheard of in any other London club. Best of all it’s cheap. I am sure the club would prefer it to be described as ‘reasonable’ but you can even see some huge acts for free. That is my favourite price — free. So, do yourself a favour if you want a fun, funny and guaranteed good night out in the capital come here.

There is a group of young men on a tuesday that do an improvisation comedy night. We gave it a go on our first night in London and I was howling. They have some wonderfully talented young performers and also some well established comedy names. Yes the décor is dated, it reminds me of a rehearsal room we used to use at our local theatre but décor doesn’t matter! The five guys kept me laughing all evening with their sharp wit, lots of tongue in cheek antics and most importantly their sheer talent. Well done all. See you again soon.

To be fair, I did not stay to watch an act, as my friend and I had sat waiting for a good 20 minutes after the show was suppose to start. The comp tried to do some stand up, as he was filling in for a comedian who had not shown up, however he was not funny. The room itself is a bit of a dive, not something I always mind, if the vibe is good. The drinks are cheap, but is a Blossom Hill wine type of bar. Will not be returning.
