I enjoy watching comedy on TV but I’ve never really thought about going to watch it live. Friends invited us along so why not give it a go? We arrived a little before the doors were open so we had a quick drink in the hotel bar next door. When the doors opened we were allowed to take our drinks along with us. The room for the comedy has booths, a bar and seating in the main section. We sat neat the front but not in the first row as we didn’t want to get picked on(and yes people in the front row did get picked on!) There were 3 acts. I have to say I was impressed with the all of them. The last act was a bit crude for my taste but hey that’s personal preference. Would I come again? I would if someone suggested it but I probably wouldn’t organise it myself.

As a comedy lover I always like watching not only my favourite comedians but only new and up and coming comedy acts who are starting out on their journey into the world of stand up and generally making people laugh. I have been to a couple of the different Jongleurs clubs, most recently the Covent Garden one. I went with a few other comedy loving friends and we did the whole, meal, drinks and show thing. It was a great night, the food was decent and we had many laughs. Obviously not everything was hilarious and we didn’t know who the comedians were but over all we really enjoyed it and keep talking about going again. There were four comedians on when we went, and the price to watch them all and have the meal and everything was about £35 each I think. Which was good value for a night out I thought. The venue itself is a good one too, out of the few Jongleurs I’ve visited this one is the nicest.
