A very reliable pub. Prefect Pitt stop if just heading too or coming from Hampstead Heath. It has a lovely heated outdoor seating area in the front and I think a small one at the back. It’s not the most lively of spots in NW5 so wouldn’t suggest this as a venue for a Friday or Saturday night out. Beer isn’t to shabby priced at about £4 a pint which is standard. Haven’t a eaten here but food did look good when the waitress was passing with it.

Great local pub with good outside seating on the sunny terrace cum beer garden. We were waited by lovely friendly staff and we had some very nice food. We had several pints in the sun and shared a nice above pub food standard platter with halloumi fritters, mac and cheese balls, prawns and sausage roll. Definitely want to come back here to try the other food, beers and wines on offer.

A really warm and friendly place with both hipsters and also does not alienate older patrons. It has a nicely done retro shabby chic interior that is also really clean and well maintained. Could also do with more bar snacks other than crisps and things that have to be ordered. However the toilets are evidently not checked throughout the night as they started clean and were really yuk by the end. May sound odd that with the above I have given it 5 stars, but for me the warm and friendly atmosphere triumps all.

I really like this pub and it’s a go to place when I want to get out of my neighborhood. It’s always very chill in terms of the noise level(except sometimes there are kids running around but I’m ok with that). They offer a tapas style menu which I’ve really enjoyed such as their Garlic Prawns, Tortilla etc. But I mainly go for their Sunday Roasts and the Guinness which is very well pulled here. I always get the roast pork roast which you can tell has been lovingly prepared and cooked. You get a decent size piece of pork and crackling with a homemade Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and the veg was kale. The roasties were a little on the soft side and not crispy but tasted good. They are very good about bringing extra gravy and applesauce. The portion is filing but not OTT that you feel stuffed to the gills. My friend and I shared an apple crumble and custard. They offer individual size and a sharing size. It was tasty but quite small portion of custard. Very nice service too. Highly recommended!

The pub is very well placed for drinks before dinner at nearby star restaurants Pizza East, Chicken Shop and Dirty Burger and has a huge garden out front which has loads of seating. Gin and tonic was well executed, I can’t comment on much else because I didn’t try the food, but I would definitely recommend if you’re dining nearby.

This place is finally starting to find itself an identity. Long overshadowed by it’s larger gastropub neighbours(including the Junction Tavern) and now Soho House’s trio of restaurants across the street(Chicken Shop, Pizza East and Dirty Burger), we were fairly certain that The Vine would roll over and play dead. In the past service was spotty and the menu didn’t change for years. Low and behold, we’ve been to The Vine on several occasions, and it has been excellent. The wine list is top notch, the menu interesting and service faultless. My only wish is that they would really go for the Italian gastropub angle. The Italian dishes on the menu are top-notch, and the only disappointments have been non-Italian dishes. So ditch the fish & chips and get more Italian on us — we’ll certainly be back for more. Best dishes: antipasto platters, homemade pasta

this is a good wine bar to get your wine on prior to going to a gig at the forum, or if you are in the area anyway. we went on a thursday night and it was busy, but big enough for us to get a seat. they have a good selection of wines by the glass, and also do a tapas menu if you are feeling the need for food to go with your drinks.

Oooh I like it! When it is cold, mulled cider makes the world better… and the Vine serves lovely mulled cider. They had their own ‘vine’ bitter on tap too, if you want to try a local brew. There is loads of space, even for larger groups… and it seemed friendly and inviting for a chilled Sunday afternoon. Plus… it is opposite chicken shop, so a good place to come while you wait for your table across the road.

Visited the Vine today, good atmosphere, lovely pizza and a couple of drinks, in short a good place for a Sunday afternoon. The other food coming out looked very good, especially what looked like roast chicken, potatoes with a selection of winter veg. .. .. .. will def go back.

Ugh. Came in here with a group of co-workers for after work drinks… read the menu, INSTANTLY spotted the Porn Star cocktail(which I’ve been craving ever since the Unilocal Christmas event 2009!) so my boss and I(yes…I have an awesome job with an awesome boss that I may or may not drink with regularly…) decided to go in halvsies and get a pitcher due to the long and ridiculous drama filled day(think of Katie Price and Peter Andrea in person, battling it out on a tv show together… that’s how drama filled my day was). We go up to the bar and place our order… only to be told that they didn’t have a blender for cocktails. Um, okay. Not sure how the drink needed one but a mojito is pretty safe, right? I mean, don’t need a blender to shred mint… and you just mix it all up. Great, problem solved. Except that the bartender stared at me like I’d grown a second head. ‘Um, no, we don’t have a blender to make cocktails.’ WTF Britain? I understand you’re a pint-loving country but hot monkey tails, it’s not that hard to make a freaking mojito. Needless to say, I shall not be going back here. I don’t care how amazing their pizza/food is supposed to be(side note: their ‘world-famous homemade crisps’ are chewy and horrid), they stood between me and a porn star… there’s no recovering from this. Period.

Respect your elders right? You’ve got to have respect for the Vine in which case. Much like St John’s over the hill in Archway, the Vine has been alive and well for years. And it’s reputatuion has been healthy throughout. I have a mixed bag of associations to this joint. It seems to be the common thing between a number of nightmarish relationship, false starts or hiccups. But putting that aside I’m very fond. Settled down the road from the Heath en route to Kentish Town, the closest watering hole to Highgate Studios the place is often full of media types. So a better weekend place should you wish to avoid this. The food is great, Italian– right up my street. And there is something wonderfully magical about the covered courtyard garden at the back. In cooler months there is always a huge open fire blazing and if you’re lucky to bag a spot you can while away the hours sitting in the embracing sofa plonked right in front of it, staring into the flames, planning your next novel.

Very bizarrely, this charming pub is a sister restaurant to the Camden Bar and Kitchen. If a member of staff at the latter hadn’t told me, I never would have believed it. Though both have their charms, the Vine is a much mellower place. It’s probably the locale alone that attributes to the general quiet — Hampstead Heath is generally a bit less animated than Camden Town. But the Vine also has the space its southerly sister can’t afford, and is a bit more comfortable as a result. And they’ve always got newspapers by the fireside, making you feel not only welcome to pass and afternoon, but encouraged to take your time and enjoy your surroundings. A pub worth visiting after your next picnic.

The Vine makes stonebaked pizza and fantastic sirloin steaks. It doubles as a pub/restaurant and is a glorious place to visit. They always play really good-vibed oldies and the people who attend the pub are really nice and relaxed. It’s a family run operation so you will always get served with a smile. The drink prices aren’t too bad either, £4 for a vodka and cranberry. This is a great local.

The Vine is a great pub just up from Kentish Town tube station. Drinks are not cheap considering the location, but the clientele appear to be mostly artsy types who work at Highgate Studios down the road. The food is fairly standard pub fare, but is pretty good and reasonably priced. In the summer, the patio areas outside the pub are fantastic for early evening drinks. Inside, there are plenty of spacious seating areas, including a few sofas and comfy chairs. The staff are professional and pleasant but not overtly warm. This place makes for a great after work or daytime pub, but is a little quiet for rowdy late night drinking.

This lovely boozer on the way to Hampstead Heath cant be faulted. Perfect for a Sunday stuck into the papers, lounging in front of the open fire. The food is great, the vibe suitably relaxed and staff are friendly. Seating is ample, comfortable and tasteful with plenty of outdoor space out front and back. I would recommend the sizeable roasts.
