The Vintry is a beautiful bar tucked away in a small«yard» by Cannon Street, Bank and Monument tube stations. It is spacious with loads of room for seating, whether it be at the bar or the multiple tables. The service is excellent and the cocktail and wine selections are diverse. It is a bit pricier than your average bar, but the ambiance and service more than make up the difference. If you’re looking for a space for a large group, this is the place to go. I will definitely be coming back!

On of my favorite pubs in London! As previously mentioned, this place consists mainly of professionals after work. One of the things that I find appealing about this bar is its locality off of a main street and its large size. Most Thursdays and Fridays(when the weather is decent) you’ll find patrons standing outside in Abchurch Yard. Great selection of local brews all on tap and they are also very accommodating for parties.

You can see it from the street. An opening amongst the buildings. Like a square. People. Suited, booted, with glasses of alcoholic beverages in at least one hand. Men. After work. Having a tipple. You cross the puddly swarm accumulating out front, step through the doors, and the second doors, and pause. The buzz is near-deafening. There are men everywhere, talking, drinking, talking more loudly, laughing, gasping, cheering. Making your way to the bar, when you’re a woman, is surprisingly unchallenging. Somehow the crowd parts, like the sea did for Moses, or in a less impressive but equally efficient way. You can order quickly, even if it’s just a glass of water. And, as you turn around, you notice you’re surrounded by men in suits, some of which may even contemplate offering you the pleasure of their company in exchange for a drink.(or is it the pleasure of a drink in exchange for their company? I never know) I cannot vouch for food, nor menu, or seats, or anything else. All I can say is that this particular city bar is full of city boys. And that’s a good start to any weekend, now isn’t it?

As Leanne mentions, this place is filled with professionals after work. This pub is my company’s default pub, as everyone heads there after work to grab a few pints, especially on Thursdays and Fridays. I enjoy this pub. They have local brews on tap and if you get there right after work it’s easy to score a seat. The décor is modern with a lofty feel as there are exposed pipes above and even though the pub is located in the basement there are still large windows all around the top.

This is a large bar and restaurant located near both Bank station and Cannon Street in the City of London. The location of the bar means that it is a favourite with local professionals, and if you walk past the large glass windows of a lunchtime, you’ll likely be overlooking many a working lunch. The bar is on basement level, with lots of tables. Due to the popularity of the venue, the seating isn’t enough to satisfy demand and many people choose to stand with their drinks, milling around and socialising. This can be rather off putting if you’re sitting down for a meal, and the worst thing about this place. Drinks are fairly priced, considering the area, I’d recommend you get your boss to take you here and stick it on their tab!
