Downstairs always looks a bit drab and empty and I will admit I have been in and walked out a few times. However I took the plunge and went with a group of friends. The waiter knew his wines(they were very good) food was tasty and well presented. All brought out in a timely manner for the group with only 1 delayed dish. Don’t be put off if it looks empty.

Great burgers, good fish & chips, cold beer, attentive waitress – what’s not to like? Another big plus is that the first floor had a lively & fun vibe while the upstairs dining room is quiet & pleasant.

Friendly, lively, and comfortable. Despite being a crowded Saturday evening the bartenders made me feel welcome. The steamed mussels were good and came in larger portions than expected.

Really great food in a non assuming pub… My husband took me here as it’s around the corner from his work and I was very surprised when the food came out. It looks like an average pub. We had the fish and chips and boar and apple sausage and mash! Yum

I had Sunday breakfast here and quite enjoyed the food. It was braised octopus on mashed potatoes. The mash actually was a weird base to have here, but it did not ruin the dish for me. The cuisine definitely has a new British vibe to it, and they are pulling ot off. The Bloody Mary was so good, I had to order another.

This was our final dinner after a week’s long stay in London. We were up for a casual meal and drinks near our flat. This met all the criteria. I must admit that the food was better than I was expecting. There was no wait on a Friday evening for a table for four. The server/bartender took care of us during our visit. We sat in the larger front room, though on a few trips to the loo, noticed a cozy back area with leather couches and chairs for a comfortable evening of imbibing for sure. we only visited the place once, but next time I would try and sit back there. I really liked the blend of gastro-pubby food with some traditional pub grub. There were several interesting options both in the starters area and the mains. Never being one to turn down figs, I got the figs with ham, honey, and gorgonzola. It was a wonderful mix of sweet and savory. I had debated on getting the cornish crab with lobster cream, and I am sure that would be fantastic too, but I was pleased with my choice. For an entrée, I went traditional and got the fish and chips. It was a large-sized portion of fish and was accompanied with a mint pea purée instead of mushy peas. I wish that they had given you more of the purée as it was absolutely divine! For drinks there was a decent selection of draft options to keep us happy during our meal. Great neighborhood joint to check out.

EXPENSIVE!!! This was a cute bar/rest however it was VERY overpriced for what you got. We got a round of drinks, 2 vodkas and 2 pints and it came to almost £22!!! It’s a bit more of a posh rest so that might be why it was so much. We didn’t eat so I’m not sure about the food. We went here once and that was enough for us

It was just kind of there. We drank and it was ok. Like other people said, there wasn’t any about it that stood out. But decent beer selection and good crowd. Good location near the strip of restaurants on Warwick Way. Bottom line: DId the job, but unmemorable.

This place is decent – lacking a bit in personality but had suprisingly decent food. A bit pricey – positioned as a gastropub, but very tasty and well-thought out dishes.

Being a resident of Pimlico I have seen The Warwick change hands a few times, thank goodness it finally has a decent landlord! Now it has been refurbed the food is excellent, along with a massive wine list that I will slowly be working through and some interesting cocktails. I think the Queens Arms has lost a customer!

A bit lacking in personality, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on why… could have been the incredibly strong smell of cabbage, could have been the slightly random clientele(tourists and a tramp sleeping at a corner table) or could have been something else. I still might give it another go though at some point.

This is a good, average, ‘you know what you’re getting’ type pub. It’s quite close to Victoria station, along a quiet enough street in the Pimlico area. Quite a nice bar to sit outside and have a pint on a summer evening. Mind you, all pints are £3 plus, but there is a wide enough selection. Food is also served, however I haven’t had the opportunity to try. Good place to watch the football, I imagine, if you’re into that sort of thing. Quite chic, but cosy décor. Nice big couches to relax with an after-work beer. It may not be the most exciting and happening place in town, but that perhaps is why it’s nice. Worth a look
