So, E20… pretty crap generally for food, to be honest. Yes you’ve got Westfield. The worst version of Balans. A barely acceptable Jamie’s. Bumpkin’s…are you kidding? Rosa’s…good food but stuck in the food court. ugh. Then we have Neighbourhood. Good for drinks, nice wine selection. However service is generally awful. And serves one of the worst roasts ever. And probably one of the worst breakfasts I’ve ever had in London. Signorelli… They try but seem to struggle. Nice staff and lovely little place but we cry out for something consistent and reliable, please. Tina pioneers the East Village and popped up here. Thank Fk. I’ve been here a few times and so far am very pleased. I think the best aspect is the view really, a lovely corner onto the tip of the Wetlands. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The basic breakfast menu is a nice simple and short menu of eggs, waffles, bacon, etc. Personally I like it for Sunday afternoon light brunch and/or drinks. Very good Negronis. Big windows, full bar, with some decent wines. wifi. Chilled atmosphere. If you happen to be in the mall and need a decent drink or a sane bite of food… take a 5 minute stroll and visit this oasis.

I visited the Stratford location, where the lovely folk of Tina, We Salute You have recently taken up residence. A great addition to this blossoming neighbourhood! Drinks are in plentiful supply — as it was a working lunch I sipped a pomegranate & orange San Pellegrino, but intend to return before long to try out the wine list. We enjoyed gorgeous grilled cheese sandwiches(so good I forgot to take a picture!), then feasted on a pudding of cake and hot chocolate. My bread and butter pudding was lovely, with sweet hits of fruit and chocolate throughout. Tina, I Salute You too.
