A colleague recommended this place as equivalent to tj maxx in the states or a direct factory outlet. So last season stuff heavily discounted is what I wax expecting. I was expecting levels and levels of stores with a range of options and massive bargains. I entered into a tiny store that was overrun with people. Having waterlogged boots I ran straight to the shoes section. The options were so limited and I couldn’t even find any in my size(uk size 4). Plus the boots that I found appeared synthetic rather than made out of leather and were 59 quid. !!! I found cheaper boots in Leicester square in aldo and crocs. And much better quality ones. So disappointed.

I love a bargain and I love variety! TK Maxx satisfy those two requirements… Yea most of the time it feels like a jumble sale but when you find that perfect piece at a bargain price you know it was worth all the agony of getting it! If you are like me who love great designers, love a bargain and don’t mind fighting for it you will love TK Maxx!

TK Maxx(or TJ Maxx in the US) is always a bit of a crapshoot. You might find the most amazing deal inside, or you may walk out empty handed. My most recent trip resulted in the latter, but there was potential. Inside the store you’ll find racks and racks of clothes, shoes, and other small items(hand held exercise things like pushup bars and other completely random stuff). It’s all organised by size, so you’ll have to peruse with a sense of purpose, and basically look at everything fairly closely to find anything. It won’t be laid out on a mannequin like in a fancy shop, so you’ll have to actually take it off the rack and look at it, and then try it on to see if you like it. That said, I found a suit for about 80% off that I really liked — the only problem… one size too small. So it just wasn’t my luck that day, but I’ll be back to try again sometime soon, I’m sure of that.
