I’ve been an Arsenal fan since 1998 but living in the states, I don’t get to be around many Arsenal fans. Coming to London, I had my first opportunity to absorb a big game atmosphere. The pub was excellent, the drinks were excellent, the food was excellent, and watching my team beat Man United 3 – 0 was excellent.

Nice, clean pub that serves great smelling Thai food(I have only smelled, not eaten). The beer is beer-y. They have a patio with a number of picnic tables. The downside being the loud noise from the intersection it is located on.

Home to all Arsenal fans! Like most bars in the area, you have to prove(with tix or gear) that you are true Gooner in order to get in. We came here after the recent Arsenal v Liverpool game that we won 2:1 and it was an amazing atmosphere. It’s straight down the road from the Emirates so the players have to drive past on their way home. When we walked in Podolski rolled down his SUV window with a raised fist, cheering and beeping his horn – everyone went wild – it was awesome. We were so surprised that they also served Thai food from the back kitchen. Arsenal songs, beer and green curry? Life can’t get much better!

I was lucky enough to get into an Arsenal/Chelsea match at the Emirates a few days before Boxing Day, but had no such luck on Boxing Day itself so after a nice tour of the Emirates itself I came down to the Tollington on the recommendation of two different people. I was not disappointed. A proper Arsenal bar with great fans and great food. Was even bought a pint as an «out-of-town Gooner.» Next time I’m in town I will definitely be here.

Part of the prematch routine for a lot of gooners, me included. Always drop in for a couple before and after the match. Martin and his lovely bar staff is friendly even when it’s real busy on mathcdays. Not to mention it’s the meeting place for the Arseblog massive! They have nice thai food that they now also serve on mathcdays. Join in.

Proper spot before the match! Loved meeting all the Gooners there, and had such a great time! Ooh to be a Gooner!

The Tollington serves up mostly Thai food with a small selection of English food which I found to be well made and tasty. The pub is stylishly decorated and looks very modern and clean. Its not very big and I can imagine that it gets very crowded at peak times. I know that this pub is very popular on match days especially as the Emirates stadium is only a short walk away. However, I went on a quite week day and I found it to be friendly and quite.

This pub is a completely different beast on match days(when they take out all the seating and furniture!). In the week /non-match weekends, it is fairly quiet, with good décor and seating. The beer is good, with Abbott Ale and IPA on tap, plus the usual lagers. Food wise, they offer a Thai menu, as well as more traditional British pub food. Everything I have had off both sections has been very good, and excellent value. The staff are nice and always happy to chat. Definitely one to take the Mrs to(not on a match day though, obviously!) as it can verge on the wine bar side of things. A nice, clean, well-meaning modern pub and a good local, too.

This a great pit stop for me and the lads to get a few pints before and after the game. It’s only small but the decore is nice and the staff are superb. they deal with the rush of people fabulously and with a smile
