Best place for after work drinks. Mainly old men sitting at the seats near the bar but further to the back more groups of all ages. Staff are friendly and up for a bit of banter. Food is really good, jacket potatoe with cheese and beans is one of the best I’ve had. And at a very good price aswell. Always offers on drinks and staff will be happy to help if u don’t know what u want. Also a beautiful building that is kept very clean and well maintained.

The Coronet is probably my favorite Wetherspoons ever after The Tollgate in Turnpike Lane… The prices aren’t quite as cheap, but it’s way more central(not far from major London transport hun King’s Cross as it goes). And the prices aren’t quite zone 1, so it’s a nice little inbetweener! I believe this was one of the first Wetherspoons ever. And certainly the first I was ever in(aged 15. Shhh!) This converted cinema is one of the biggest pubs in London, meaning you’re bound to find a seat for yourself even on a Friday night. This is an important thing in my eyes(I’m not the fittest of people, so don’t enjoy having to stand for long periods). The Coronet is super cozy. I also love the fact that Wetherspoons pubs don’t play music(revealing how utterly un-hip I am, incase that wasn’t already insanely obvious!). I’ve run geek events in the past that have included detours here. And can confirm this has never proven to be a mistake! Also has adorable little outdoors spot, perfect for smokers.

My favourite Wetherspoons in London — huge, in a massive old theatre(its actually really beautiful), loads of comfortable seating, and obviously good prices. Only slight downside is that I’ve never found the food to be great, but I don’t tend to go there for the food anyway. If you’re looking for an affordable place to drink in Holloway, go here.

Good pub massive inside. Always go here for a few pints after an Arsenal game to debrief on the game. Really enjoy drinking here. They have a absolutely brilliant beer selection behind the bar that rotates throught the year so theres always something new to try previously I enjoyec Sam Adams the Boston beer now its This is Larger from Brewdog

Yes, it’s a Wetherspoons, but it’s a good one! The building is beautiful, it’s got decent toilets and the clientele isn’t entirely old alcoholics. Good for cheap beers and ale, terrible for cocktails. They WILLID you every time you go to the bar though.

I love the décor in this place, but I really like old things. I love that they are using an old cinema for a pub. Also I love cheap eats and drinks. What I love most of all is the curry club on Thursdays for 5.99. You get a giant plate of Indian food and a drink. Yes the crows is bit older and quiet, but I mostly go there to eat and have one drink or so. It is relaxing in there and probably would go more often if I had a laptop to do work because they also have wifi.

Surprisingly close to central London, only a short tube detour. Expansive ceiling, affordable beers, staff more than willing to help you reach a verdict on which niche ale to continue with. I find it very peaceful within the booths which is refreshing for a classic wetherspoon’s. Essential/compulsory to visit at first, a return visit is very much recommended.

The setting is great, a huge converted cinema which was thronging with customers. It’s a short walk to The Emirates Stadium so would make a good match day stop off. The problem for me, and the reason for my low rating was the staff. I was shortchanged £5 by a barmaid called Rachel who borderline called me a liar and refused to cash up her till until the match had started(despite explaining I would be in the stadium then). I phoned after the match and spoke to the manager, Gemma who apologised and offered to send me the £5 recorded delivery the following day. Needless to say my money never turned up, and for that reason I’ll never turn up at The Coronet again.

Confession: this was one of the first pubs I went to when we moved to London. It is a large and depressing Wetherspoons. I immediately understood what that chain basically promises from visiting here. It was educational. It was actually a cool space to stop in for a drink, but I wouldn’t recommend passing the evening there.

This is an absolutely colossal Wetherspoon pub and the interior alone blew my pants off. After putting my pants back on I instantly went up to the bar to ask what the enormous roof was about(even though it was obviously a theater of some sort). There is even a balcony and a projector. You can literally sit around the huge projector and eat at it. There are couches and tons of variation in seating. It is an incredibly comfortable place to eat and drink. The one knock on this place is that the vibe is very… old. Being that the structure is very classic and retro, it has attracted a steady population of senior citizens. They’re everywhere. Grab your cane, it’s time for a pint!!! So this isn’t a place to make a lot of noise or get extremely drunk and crazy, but if you’re with a group of friends and just want to relax, it’s amazing for that. Of course, as with all Wetherspoon franchises, the prices are unbelievably cheap. They have several microbrews on tap for about 2 and a half pounds, and they rock the classic 5 pound beer and burger deal with you can’t beat anywhere else. The burgers and chips are fantastic, and well worth the price. The employees are very kind here(probably have to be with all these seniors around) and when I ordered the fudge cake/ice cream dessert, they knocked the price down for me just for the hell of it.(If you order a curry dish, the dessert I got is like a pound cheaper, but they gave me the discount anyways.) Make sure to bring your ID if you want to sit at the bar, as I think it’s their policy. Some woman came in with her friends, and some had IDs but some didn’t. When the manager didn’t let the ID-less woman sit at the bar, she started screaming at him. I was in shock and it continued for what seemed like 15 minutes of shouting, huffing, and storming around the whole restaurant. The manager eventually kicked them out. None of this was his fault, he was just following policy. Although he did get very heated once the yelling was going on 5 min. He even told them to shut their mouths, but honestly he was absolutely in his right to do so. Not sure why I typed all of that previous paragraph, but I thought it was entertaining. Tried to record video it but the audio wasn’t good(missed YouTube opportunity). Anyways this is your classic Wetherspoons shoved inside an amazing refurbished theater. You really have to see it with your own two eyes(or one if you’re a pirate). The location is great; especially if you go to London Met or City and Islington College. It’s a three minute walk down the road for some cheap eats and drinks! Four stars and not five only for the senior vibe, but everything is spectacular. DOIT.

Cheap, dark and dingy. It used to be a cinema so enormous and no windows no surprise there. You can guess the clientele grim but it is cheap. Family dining really?
