I’ve been here a few times on match days before I go to see the game. It does get absolutely ramo’d and back to back, where you have to squeeze through the gabs hoping not to spill your drink. The service is fantastic though, like seriously. I’ve not had to wait once for more than a minute. They make sure they have as many staff as they can working behind the bar on match days which makes this my place of choice before games. Toilets are immaculate. There is an area with some benches outside. They have bouncers, that ensure that nothing kicks off as on match days it is just for the Gooners and not the visiting team. So, if a mate is meeting you, be sure that you have a ticket to prove you support Arsenal or that you get there early enough that they don’t ask. I will always go here on match days, I like the place. That’s about it though :)

I only ever visit on match day, its always rammed(home fans only) and standing room only. Prices are London usual, service is as good as you can expect in a busy pub and there is a reasonable sized outside area with benches and stuff.

A good solid 3 star pub near the Arsenal stadium that does a good job of keeping home fans under control… But…do your eyes deceive you, there are 4 stars next to the review?! How could this be? Lots of reasons. Firstly like a pet only an owner could love this is my local. It is always there, open late and has already been the site of memorable drinks with friends. Secondly the pizza here is great, and half price on Mondays and Thursdays making it just over £3 per pizza. Thirdly there are other drinks offers and the prices generally are pretty good for somewhere so central. Finally it has a beer garden… well an outside area for beer… sort of… …anyway its my local and I grudgingly love it.

Stopped here one day while meeting someone on Holloway Road. Food was pretty good, and their coffee was nice and strong. Close to Emirates stadium, so it’s got that going for it. I liked that the place was roomy, and had a relaxed yet classy vibe. They seem to have good drink specials throughout the week too. I don’t hate it!

This place is alright. Is very close to the Holloway Road station and therefore very close to the Emirates stadium. So I can imagine that it gets really crowded here on game nights. The vibe is pretty chill. There was a band rehearsing in the corner while we enjoyed a pint of larger. I didn’t actually look at the food menu but someone ordered cheesy chips and they were decent. I think there may even be a beer garden but didn’t have time to investigate. Overall, this seems like it would be a good local.

This place has just had a really big make-over and is quite different from the rather non-descript, slightly shabby place it used to be. This pub was technically my local for three years, but I have only started going since they did the place up it’s just a lot more comfortable and inviting now. When I lived in the area I only visited twice: once to hide from the rain and once because a lazy friend insisted on going to the nearest pub now it’s somewhere I’d consider choosing over other local establishments if I’m in the area. There is a quiz night on Thursdays which is a lot of fun, albeit with a rather shouty quizmaster. Clientele is mainly students from nearby London met, but with a smattering of more ‘mature’ Norf London dwellers. Reasonable enough selection of wines and beers if a tad pricey.

I’ll start this review off with a disclaimer — I went here an hour before kickoff at the Emirates, so it was wall to wall packed with Arsenal supporters getting wasted before the match. That said, it’s not a bad pub. Nothing special on the taps, so only three stars, but if I go to another match anytime soon I’ll be sure to hit here to pregame.

I stopped in here on Friday night for a pint. The bar has a nice lay out with loads of seating. There is a large screen that was playing NBA. It was early when I was there, around 7:30pm and there was a nice atmosphere. Not to busy, not to quiet. If your looking for somewhere to have a quiet pint after work i would recommend The Metro. Very close to Holloway tube and reasonable beer prices. I’ll be stopping in here again.
