I can only reiterate the previous reviews here about how wonderful this deli is. Stumbled upon by chance as l stayed in the hotel opposite… A wonderful selection of jamons and cheeses(manchego of course !) Spanish wines, olive oils and other treats What a perfect place to buy a picnic ! I loved the fact it was open Spanish hours till 10.30pm at night. I cant think of a better supper, putting your feet up for a late night feast after a heavy day of sightseeing

What a unique sandwich! I passed this place by on my recent visit to London after seeing the meat displayed in the window and made a mental note to visit later the week. When I did visit I and ordered the basic sandwich made of the ham on display and all I can say is WOW. Totally rich in flavor, totally delicious and unlike anything else out there. I will definitely stop in on my next trip to London. The only reason I do not give this establishment a «5»? No seating. I sat on a seat in the Charring Cross Station.

Life doesn’t get any better than this! In the middle of tourists and busy The Strand you’ll find this store specialized in Spanish meat. Sorry, we can’t call this meat, this is the best ham(Jámon) in the world. Oh, how we love those piggies raised on nuts. They sell different kind of packed meats, cheeses, wines, sandwiches and freshly cut Jámon. Price of a sandwich is £4,50. We find that a fair deal. The’re open 7 days a week.

This is it. This is as good as it gets. If you haven’t had the real deal from Spain, this will make you understand why everything else is just child’s play. If you are in London you NEED to come here. For 4.5 pounds you will eat the best sandwich you ever have in your life. The chorizo. Speechless. Felt like I have been eating cardboard grinded up with sriracha before this moment. With my limited time left here I will need to try as many things here before I leave.

This is the real deal: a jamón store just like the ones you’d find in the heart of Barcelona or Madrid.(Jamón is the Spanish version of prosciutto: delicate, thin meat cut from cured ham legs.) I peeked inside on a whim, and after taking in the smells and seeing the familiar hams lining the walls, I just knew I had to give it a taste. I got a small package of the ibérico de cebo de campo, and the meat was as good as any I’ve had abroad: intensely flavored, cut paper-thin, and so soft that it melts in your mouth. These guys know their stuff. There are many different varieties of jamón in this shop, including the famous ibérico de bellota. Most are wrapped in plastic, but you can also request a fresh cut from the two ham legs sitting on the counter.(I think it’s actually more expensive per kilo, so I recommend going with the pre-sliced meats. It’s all super fresh anyway.) When I was there, they were giving out freshly-cut samples, so you can try it with no risk. Jamón is expensive; treat it as a delicacy, savor each slice, and I think you’ll find it hard to resist coming back to Viandas de Salamanca!
