For the food and ambiance I would have given this place a 3 star rating. However this is a cause I want to support. It’s great to see youngsters applying themselves and learning their craft, and makes for a different type of dining experience. The waiters are very inexperienced and a little shy, but very pleasant all the same. The food itself wasn’t bad at all. I ate sea bream and it was well cooked. The prices are fantastic, I paid £12 for a decent main course, and the starters were only £4. It’s very good value and well worth a visit.

Sister to The Escoffier Room(see my other review) is this dining room. Here first and second year hospitality students from Westminster Kingsway college will welcome you whilst second and third year chefs in training prepare the food. Overlooking the beautiful Vincent Square you will be served food made with good ingredients and freshly prepared. Whether the chef and kitchen staff have made the best use of these two factors is for you to decide. Check opening times carefully as it’s only weekdays for lunch(12 – 2) and selected evening(6 – 9) and only during term times … of course.
