I absolutely love going to Virgin Active Bank. When I first joined 2.5 years ago, I was so impressed with the cleanliness, the friendly and cheerful staff and the top notch facilities. To date, I can honestly say that they have continued to provide excellent service. The perks at the gym are really nice and aren’t offered at just any Virgin Active gyms. For example, when I joined, they gifted a bag of gorgeous Molton Brown bath products(which are also in the locker rooms and showers) with some guest passes, a free personal training session and a great 30% discount at the incredible Gaucho restaurant right down the road. The classes they offer are unlimited and energetic, the machines are of high quality with individual TVs and adapters to charge your iPhone or whatnot and you can even borrow bracelets for the pool and weight machines to track your lengths/repetitions, calories burned, etc. The pool is small, but nice. The locker rooms are spacious with unlimited towel service and they will even press your shirts for you! I feel so pampered at Virgin Active Bank and I really enjoy my time there.

If you get a kick out of commuting in the Waterloo & City line during rush hour you will love this place. It’s the most overcrowded gym I ever experienced. Even the off hours are busy. Adding to the stress of trying to exercise there are the personal trainers hogging equipment and floor space with their clients for extended periods of time. Hoping for the 7kg medicine ball? Check again in 45 minutes. The place is simply too small for the amount of people. Be prepared having to modify your exercise routine to the equipment that’s not occupied. As to be expected the majority of the audience are City alpha males and high maintenance girlies. So if that’s your crowd, you’ll like it there.
