While it’s quite small, this Waitrose packs a punch with what it does offer. You’ll find a fairly good selection of offerings throughout the various food and drink categories — each pared down a bit to reflect the size of the store. Over the years, they’ve tried a few different layouts to the checkout area and seem to finally have settle on ½ self-check(card only) and ½ small staffed stalls. While this isn’t the place to do a big shop, it’s ideal for the midweek fridge top-up and to pick up something for dinner when the cupboards are bare. The service is always kind and friendly and even when the lines get long, they move quickly. It’s definitely my favorite local grocery option.

Finally, the mummies of nappy valley have somewhere to push Tabitha other than«awful» Somerfield and«ghastly» Asda(they never dared darken the door of Lidl) — replacing the ramshackle Woolworths. Alongside the small M&S and the even smaller Whole Foods, it completes the posh supermarket trifecta in Clapham Junction.
