Whittington Stone

Very close to Archway station (Zone 2), this restaurant is perfect if you are looking for cheap and delicious food in London. The Whittington Stone provides its customers with all kinds of treats: firstly they have a buy 1 cocktail, get 1 free offer on Thursdays and Fridays. Secondly they offer entertainment such as a pool table and large television screens to watch football matches.
There are also numerous offers on the food and desserts, from free drinks, to reasonable priced menus, to «buy one dessert, get one free».
Now you would expect that with all of this the food would be horrendous, but it’s actually really good pub food. They have hamburgers, fish and chips, sandwiches, salads, pasta’s, jacket potatoes,… The whole lot.
So if you ever find yourself in the neighbourhood, I would advise you to go here and not be scared away by its scruffy exterior.

Good cheap place for food, drinks, coffee, and free wifi.
Randomly wandered here while walking around Archway and got a good sized burger and a drink of choice for 4.49 … throw in a latte for a bit more.
I haven’t been to many pubs in UK during daytime yet, so maybe I’m jumping the gun, but the people are very friendly in here and the cost is very reasonable. Tends to have older gentlemen in there mostly, with a few of everyone else as the day goes on.

Rubbish selection of beers and no ales on tap. A local’s pub and only if you’re an Arsenal fan… Feels like being in your Nana’s house, if she smells of old men.

This pub is worth visiting, but only to look at. Has a rare, old fashioned décor that needs to be seen. I can honestly say I have not seen a pub quite like this before.
That’s where the positive end though. They have a couple of ale pumps that are permanently out of use, which is a shame as the rest of the drinks selection is pretty limited. They have a couple of TVs but they seem to be used mostly to watch any channel that is showing racing. The locals don’t seem that friendly either.
Shame.
