Wishing Well Taverns

This is right on the high street and only a couple of doors away from the Whetherspoons pub. The two pubs are very different. The Wishing well is very small inside and has wall seating around both sides of the pub.
There is a pool table next to the bar and this is the only good thing about it. There is a very small selection of beers on tap and no ale what so ever. They do have all three types of Guinness though.
This is a bit of a dive. The worse for me is the fact that they boast a seated smoking and drinking in the rear of the pub — yuck! To actually smoke inside pubs these days is well I thought illegal.
So if you want a smoke and drink with indoor seating, go here. If not I recommend you steer clear!

In terms of transition, I’ve taken to drinking the odd bit of ale. I like IPA and Brakespear, This dive of a pub only had Guinness and was filled with old dudes, a regular lads pub.
The carpet still stinks like smoke from ages ago.
This is total neighbourhood dive that I was not very impressed with. Also, the television was quite loud.
