I walk past this place many times and since it is a chain I avoid going in. One such day I decided to give this place a try and figure it out. It was not bad at all. Especially for a chain that seems to cater to tourist. I love well made pizza which has nothing American about it … Hence avoid most pizza places and take away. But Zizzi has a wood oven and makes great pizzas. Multiple choices of toppings as well. I am not saying I will go here again because I know of even better Italian places. But I would go in if I crave for decent pizza close to home.

Great little find when the café next door was closed. The Jeweled Gnocchi was delicious. The Carnoso pizza was amazing, one of the best pizzas I have enjoyed, even compared to my visit to Italy. Not too far from the Sherlock Holmes statue at Baker Street underground, about 5 min walk.

Contrary to the rating on Unilocal,I’d say that Zizzi is quite kid-​friendly. They have high chairs available (and in good condition), and provided our little guy with crayons and a coloring sheet at the table. They also have a kids menu if you need that kind of thing.
We have been here three times during our stay in London so we have gotten to know this place fairly well — as it’s just around the corner from our apartment. The wood-​fired pizza is good, and when something says «piccante» on the menu you can count on it actually being spicy. I wouldn’t go all the way to four stars because both times that we have ordered a calzone, the dough is uncooked/​raw at the thickest parts. Also, it’s a little pricier than what would be expected for the food/​décor.
I wouldn’t travel across the city for a pizza here, but if you’re in the neighborhood and want something easy it’s just fine.

Your regular Zizzi chain serving Italian dishes such as pizzas, pastas, and salads. Nice summertime restaurant which can open the front to be light and airy with the option of sitting outside in the sun if it takes your fancy.

Nicely located, nicely decorated, quite fashionable, fairly priced.
We went there a few months ago and I was struck by how waitresses seemed to ‘choose’ which customers to pamper, and which to forsake. A table of Americans was favoured — tippers! Others, well…
The food was decent, but as Zizzi is part of the same group as Pizza Express, only that the former are marketed at higher prices than the latter, I’d have expected the food to be at least as good but pizzas had a distinct cardboard feeling.
Conclusion: great for groups and people caring more about the «food experience» than the food itself — the place was designed for them. Otherwise try Pizza Express in a less frequented spot (Thayer street for example).

I have been here a few times since it got refurbished. Its now got a really fresh look about it and the green colour used is excellent. Its got a much posher feel. The menu extends that theme and has some excellent dishes on it. From Fish, Steak to the more traditional pizza and pasta. The pizza is all stone baked and very tasty. The wine menu is also revamped and has some great bottles and wine by the glass.
The kitchen is open so you can see everything being prepared but its not over-​powering in terms of noise or heat coming out of there. The waiters are very polite and smart.
With the 2−4−1 options happening there its an even better deal.

A reliable chain of restaurants. Not always the friendliest of staff, but they get the job done. Really good quality Italian. Both pizzas and pastas are excellent, particularly the chicken strozzapretti.

Nice relaxing place to enjoy a hearty italian meal. I especially enjoy the Parma Ham and rocket pizza. Service can ocasionaly be a bit slow.
