Great Italian place with Italian workers. Helped my husband feel right at home with his native language. We enjoyed our lunch so much that we returned the same night for dinner to try more of their menu! Excellent location and food!

Good quality for price. Waiters are very nice and helpful. Took the 2 courses menu at £9.95 and no service fee added! Salmon was really good

Had lunch here yesterday, v quiet, had backroom all to ourselves. Great service and great value, prompt service and delicious food. only downside was small portions, but we did do the 3 course set menu for around £12 each so not too expensive. Would recommend.

Indifferent slow service parts of the order missing. Seemed very taken with the pretty girls all very Italian. Unfortunately expected a chain to have cured the worst excesses of the Italian male. The food itself was ok when it arrived northing to form a queue outside but did the job. Next time should I make this mistake again, will bring good looking girl to bump up my service quality!

I’m afraid this branch of Strada was wildly disappointing. We went there last week for a friend’s birthday in a large ish group, and were ignored for about 30 minutes. Once we finally got our orders in, we were ignored again and again by the staff(it wasn’t that busy, so I’ve no idea why) when we were trying to order additional drinks. Starters were mediocre at best and the mains were lacklustre. The butternut squash risotto I chose was really bland. I know Strada can do better than this — I used to frequent the Spitalfields branch a lot before it closed down and it was usually excellent. Looking forward to this branch improving as Strada is a decent chain as they go.

Focaccia appetizers were the best. Pizzetta ended up being mostly bread with very little toppings. Accompanying salad was just wilted spinach. Would suggest just going with the normal pizza. Quick and fast for take away.

A cute little Italian restaurant with healthy options! The bread they bring to the table is just as good as it smells(though a bit undersalted) which was a great start to the meal. Staff was very friendly and didn’t seem to be rushing us out which was very nice as we stayed a bit to hang out after our meals. For dinner I was able to indulge in my favorite type of ordering; getting a couple of sides for my main – the roasted vegetables and the tomato and red onion salad were both great. If you enjoy fruity cocktails, I definitely recommend ordering the Raspberry Collins!

Came here for a quick lunch break from work and had brought a voucher code with me. The staff were accommodating and happy to allow me to have the one code apply to both of us(seemed a little silly that the voucher would only allow a dessert or wine for one person!). Service was quick and polite. I would come back here for a general Italian meal(pizzas and pastas although do have some additional salads and mains). I had pasta my colleague had pizza, both were enjoyed.

Met a good friend in London for a meal when we were down, and he suggested Italian. We came across Strada and decided to try it out. The restaurant was clean and not too terribly busy. We had a seat in the front of the restaurant and began searching through the menu for what to eat. Our friend, M, got the seafood pasta and the house white wine. He said that both were rather good! My partner had the spaghetti ragu, which she said was better than the spaghtetti she’d had the night before. Yes, we had italian two days in a row, and nobody complained. I had the Caprese to start… fresh buffalo mozzarella, Roma tomatoes, basil, and olive oil… I was purring with delight at the freshness of this dish. Usually everything tastes refrigerated, but this was lovely. I then went on to have the pork ravioli. It was lovely, just not enough of it. I was finished with my meal before the other two. I’d definitely visit this place again, if given the chance. However, the service is a bit slow and lacking.

What a lovely meal. My friend and I chose Strada’s evening set meal which consists of 2 courses for £12.50. I had a pizza and she had the vegetable risotto, we were both extremely happy with the food and the service was superb. The house wine is absolutely delicious: it’s Sicilian, fiery and moody! Lovely oak tones and blueberry rolled into one. The highlight of the meal was the pannacotta, which is simply stunning. Go and check it out, it’s one of the best Strada restaurants I’ve been to so far.

I have a natural affinity for Brits and the UK as a whole. You know, it’s like being in America plus an accent. However, my dear tea drinking friends across the pond, you need to learn how to cook. Italian is always a safe cuisine to go with when abroad. It’s really hard to mess up pizza and pasta. I took a chance and ordered the seafood risotto. I had one bite of this concoction and the famous risotto scene from the movie«Big Night» replayed in my head. This took al dente to a new level. The seafood was fishy and I’m pretty sure the mussels weren’t washed. Another friend ordered the pesto gnocchi and again, al dente. I was eyeing the frenchman sitting next to me and jealously looking on as he savored his margherita pizza. Should have stuck to the basics. Also, this place was 100 degrees when we walked in. I asked the waiter to turn on the A/C and then was made fun of for complaining. How American.

I had a good sunday lunch with my best friend, and chose this particular Strada on Baker street because it would be less busy. With the offices shut for the weekend, it was a very cold and miserable rainy day, nevertheless worth every penny and time. My Gnocchi was perfect with the white wine sauce, and not every place does a good wine sauce. Complimentary sparkling water for us ladies was a hospitable gesture. We spent most of the afternoon on a two course meal. Bill sorted and all we chatted away for a bit, without being asked to leave which was very good. With good music we were able to relax. This is definitely a good restaurant with luxurious and elegant décor, upscale in an affordable way. Catchy! — the service is not in your face, they make you enjoy the meal rather than hurry you up with the food to leave a spare table for the next diner.

Went there for lunch last Friday with work colleagues. There is such good choice in this area with Pizza Express, GBK, Zizzi, etc. I had not been to Strada for a while so thought we should try there. Very nice décor inside and we got seated very quickly. The waitress was not very helpful in choosing food, then they put music on which was far too loud. It took complaints from a few tables to get it turned down. The food was the real let-down. To be fair the risotto was good but the other three of us had pizza and they were disappointing. The toppings portions were very meager and although it was tasty, when you found a bit of cheese or pancetta there was not enough topping to enjoy it. We complained and the manager acknowledged they had received a lot of complaints about it and Head Office were looking into it. Still the whole meal took over an hour for food, etc and we were left feeling let down. For value for money good food I think Pizza Express is the better option in this area. Won’t be back in a hurry.

Just alright. Pretty good for a chain. I had the pizza — nothing to write home about, but pretty good. One outstanding thing was the bread at the start — delish. I agree that it is great value.

Strada is, I reckon, a rather classy, unpretentious outfit that does cracking food very simply. I got started on Strada but my friend who used to live above the Jazz bar in Camden, and we’d often lazily wander down the road for a casual but tasty and affordable dinner. Or we’d order ahead and get some pizzas to pick up and munch in her amazing flat overlooking the Odeon. The pizzas are very good. More expensive than Pizza Express, but they don’t all taste the same like in Pizza Express. There is also a lot more choice. Strada have carved out a reputation amongst my social circle of being one of the few restaurants that does a good risotto. And I think it’s true, my veggie risotto yesterday was almost perfect. The only problem was that there was a bit too much of it and I find it difficult to stop eating before a plate is cleared, even when I’m full. Service wasn’t great. The last 5 times we’ve eaten out the service, particularly the bit between getting the bill and wanting to pay, has taken an excrutiating amount of time. The bonus of this particular Strada is that it’s in the lovely area of Marylebone High Street and is one of the cheaper restaurants in the area.

I probably am the only guest of the prestigeous Landmark Hotel who will wander down Baker Street to find something more affordable to eat. Strada is a chain which quotes the Guardian for it’s verdict: Notable for yummy retro Italian food and restrained prices and Vogue for the statement: Strada makes for excellent Pizza. It has been reviewed quite favourably on Qype as well. Maybe I should have had the Pizza, my whole experience was not that great. Admittedly, the prices are modest for London, my main course salad was 8,50GBP. The interior of the restaurant which seems to have opened only recently gives you this true low budget chain feeling. Tables are very small. Waiters are plenty so that they tend to ask you just about two times too often whether you need anything else to drink. Our waitress seemed to be disappointed when we did not order starters. They should put some of the waiters in the kitchen, because we had to wait for more then 45 minutes until our food arrived. My friend’s risotto looked nice but it had this reheated appeal to it.(All risottos in restaurants are usually reheated, but…) My Tuscan salad was certainly fresh, but it did no have anythings specifically Italian about it. It could have been any standard salad with Mozzarella in bacon on top. Take lots of cucumber, some not particularly ripe tomatoes, some grilled peppers that were not particularly grilled, some salad leaves and some dressing that is not particularly tasty.
