Out of all the Italian restaurant chains(Prezzo, Pizza Express, Strada) Zizzi is my favourite. I mean it is nothing special but Zizzi’s is pretty nice — I have had some great salads, pizzas and they used to do a chicken and pesto strozzapretti that was yuuuuum. Bf and I needed a quick, reasonably priced meal before we went to the theatre so popped in to the St Giles branch — I like the big open square, the big open restaurant and the nice tables. They have a new autumn menu so I ordered the venison & beef strozzapretti. It came SO quickly — I mean we did want a reasonably speedy meal but it was with us within 5 minutes of being there. Even with 30% it was quite pricey for what it was. Not so impressed and won’t be back any time sooooon.

This branch was set in a big, airy St. Giles development. The service was friendly but was very slow as they only had one waitress and a manager. King Prawn Linguine was very good. It had big prawns and fresh courgettes, and linguine was cooked al dente. Rustica Sofia pizza was OK, but the base was boring and a bit soggy, and the topping was not enough. Vanilla Panna Cotta was very good, but needed more berries. Tiramisu was way too sweet. So you need to choose carefully here.

Great venue that isn’t too expensive and lots of open space. Me and a friend were looking for a place to catch up where we could eat and have a bottle of wine. Staff were attentive but didn’t rush you which I find is a common thing in central London. Great venue for friends catching up

Perfect amount of food! I had the salmon, which came dressed in capers, olives, and sundried tomato. A little too bland for my taste and could have been a little saltier. It paired nicely with the roasted fingerlings, broccolini, and rockets, though! I thought the scallions were a little out of place, with all the other peppery and starchy flavors. For dessert, I had the vanilla panna cotta with a raspberry coulis. Absolutely delicious — tasted like ice cream in solid form!

Came here on a saturday to a near empty restaurant! I used to work nearby and always noticed that hardly anyone visited, mainly because its in the middle of a new office complex. The décor is great though! Modern, there’s a feature plastic tree in the middle, the wood fired oven is also a feature and I like the booths and large windows, but sadly being so open it looks off-putting if its not full. Upon arriving no-one greeted us, until a waiter beckoned for us to come in. We found a booth and after 5 minutes ordered drinks and our food. Sadly, we had to wait a further 10 minutes [maybe longer] for us to be served our drinks. Not good enough. The sole waiter did seem rushed off his feet and apologised at me having to remind him about the drinks and he gets points for that. The starter arrived, which was a sharing platter of arancini balls, skewers, 2 panzarotti’s and a small mozzarella salad. It could have been a bit larger, but on the whole is was a nice starter. Next we ordered pizza’s, and Zizzi makes very good pizza’s. We really enjoyed the sausage and the pizza with real italian ham [not the fake stuff other places use]. The pizza’s are large and the base was great — we wolfed them down. Under the circumstances the service wasn’t great, which is why I’m only giving 4 stars, and I’ll give the waiter the benefit of the doubt, but the food is worth it. We’ll come again and recommend you do too.

This was my 2nd? Zizzi meal(different location, same menu). It reminds me of an American Italian restaurant chain if it had chic minimalist/industrial, sophisticated décor rather than fake flea market hodgepodge. Like, you get ice and lemon in your water which seems pretty unusual and Americanish, and my server even checked in to see how everything was going. Not typical! I love that they have an allergy menu — which could be a little clearer(it’s like a little hieroglyph for wheat: P) but does explain who can eat what. The gluten free pasta is great and you can choose a number of sauces — the bolognese was yummy, but not very meaty. And you can even have dessert! There’s a fantastic flourless chocolate mini lava cake served with vanilla ice cream. I wanted to try the panna cotta(vanilla w/raspberry compote) but there can only be one. Food is good; service was a little slow considering it was late and I thought they’d want everyone out as they were already cleaning up. But I’m definitely a fan and would enjoy going back again.

Dinner was excellent. From the wine to the dessert. Very good chain restaurant. I would recommend if hungry for Italian. The Rustic pizza is really good and you can order a skinny plate with a smaller pizza and salad if not to hungry.
