Zizzi shows differences from branch to branch. I enjoyed zizzi in Greenwich but did not enjoyed in o2. For example, i asked«arancini» for a starter which i really love it in o2 northgreenwich branch but the waitress immediately seemed to be very surprised as if she never heard aracini before. And she said they do not do and serve arancini there. Sound awful! Zizzi is supposed to be an Italian Restaurant. They should have and do arancini regardless of any branch. Finally, they should train their staff about the italian food.

Excellent service, delightful menu, although I preferred the older selection from several years ago. More often than not it is very busy, so it isn’t exactly where to go for a quiet chat and meal, but I would recommend for parties or a lunchtime meal

Where to eat in the O2? Many a chains in there. Zizzi appears to be your«safe lifestyle choice» Italian restaurant. Nothing challenging. Nothing awful. I had the stromboli but it was just a calzone. A stromboli is rolled. This was not rolled. I had the pistachio gelato. Real pistachio ice cream or gelato is not a verdant green. And it has pistachios in it. Alas, this was just a silly green ice cream with no evidence a pistachio had ever come near it.

Ordinarily, I quite enjoy the food at Zizzi’s. On our last visit, I’m not too sure what happened, but the food was really not up to the restaurant’s usual standards — possibly because we went after 9pm(which is a definite bonus as we were turned away from some of the other restaurants in the O2), when the cinema had just let out a fairly packed screening and Zizzi’s was one of the last few places open and serving food at this time of night on a Wednesday evening. Everything just seemed to take longer — from being seated, to having food being served etc. We were a table of 3 and had some calamari to start — which was perfectly fine. Then my companions each had pizza, and I tried the pasta special(turned out to be mozzarella balls with spinach and pasta). I suspect my disinterest in my food was purely psychological — I was expecting something completely different to what turned up on my plate, and after that, I was probably a lost cause. Like I said, I normally like Zizzi’s a lot — the calamari is good, and I normally have a pasta with chicken and broccoli(although, I think this has come off the new menus). And certainly, on my previous visit a few weeks ago — I really enjoyed my meal. So maybe it was just an off day — I might update this next time I visit, but for now it’s 3*s.

Went here for the first time the other month, and was not to sure what to expect, i had the calamari for starters and was surpirsed that it was actually real calamari, the tenticals and all. which i was really impressed with and tasted amazing. for the main course we had pastas which were full of flavour and really filling, the calzones looked amazing what other people were having and will have to try one of them another time. The location is right next to the filmworks cinema and it never seems to be too busy so you can allways get a table. but the food quality and price is amazing so i would definately recomend this place as one of my top restaurants.
