Observatory Bar

The Observatory Bar is one of the first you come across when arriving in Terminal 2 so naturally is the first place we plonked ourselves down whilst waiting to board recently.
The bar is very open and light, with a large window so you can observe (ooh) the planed coming and going from the Terminal — great for reassurances that everything is okay for nervous flyers like me, and it also seemed to do a good job at keeping the kids around us entertained.
The drinks selection is pretty standard, almost like a Wetherspoons, and we went for a bottle of prosecco to get the holiday off to a great start! There is very limited food on offer as well, which we went for — the food court only seemed to have Burger King open, so we decided to take what they did have. Two pizza baguettes later and we were content; one meaty and one just cheese & tomato, actually provided by Upper Crust.
A good hour or so spent in one of the airport’s better options.
