Me & my friend & her children decided to go to Nandos for lunch. My friend has a baby in a push chair & a 5 year old. Upon arrival we were greeted with a friendly face & the lady recommended we sit downstairs(more room for push chair) she took us to the lift. Getting in the lift there was dirty cleaning products on the floor & cloths(not nice) We sat & ordered the food they brought the colouring leaflet & crayons for Tilly which was nice. They also offered my friend a high chair for the baby good call! Food came quickly, though mine not much taste & no kids menu. For a Nandos it was ok, expected more from a city centre branch. Service was good, food & hygiene not great. Shame really as I usually love a cheeky Nandos !

Just your everyday Nandos. A little cramped in here though and the wait times are not too great. Nandos are at the stage of cookie cutters, you’ve been to one you’ve been to them all, higher up the food chain than a Maccies and a lil higher than bar burrito :) Basically, Nandos do great chicken with passable sides, you know what you are getting and this branch is no different from the rest.

For fast casual this isn’t a bad spot. The food here is very good with a variety of sauces and spices, this chicken was fantastic.

I had the Beanie Wrap. It had a lot of protein as it has garbanzo beans. It was a bit bland and putting perri-perri sauce did not make it very flavorful. It was still bland and kinda dry. Good customer service but we had a long wait for some reason. We got seated right away but we had to wait for our food for a while.

I wonder how it is possible for a cook to order scenario how the food could be served cold but these guys managed it! Maybe if they stopped chatting in the kitchen and paid some attention the food would served at the correct temperature. Chips limp, greasy and cold. Spicy rice cold and butterfly chicken dry and… you guessed it — cold!

This Nandos store is in Piccadily Gardens, it is quite new located in a building with a Zizzi Ristoronte and Travel Lodge. The music in this store is very loud so that is offputting The staff had good knowledge on allergen information, and the manger come over and spoke to me and made sure the order went through okay. They have unlimited refills on coca cola etc, but I opted for an iced tea. It is £2.50 for a 330ml can, which I feel is quite overpriced, as you need at least two to go with your meal. I ordered a Lime and Mango fries with chips. The chips were very nice especially for gluten free. They have a nice allergen information, to say what allergen is in each meal, for everything they have on the menu. Remember to order at the bar if you do visit, I had an experience waiting for quite a while at another branch and not realising for a good 20 – 25 minutes. Don’t make that mistake, just remember to order at the bar and maybe use a Nandos card to claim rewards and get points on your food. I found the chicken to be okay, but nothing special, where they was flavour it did taste nice but in some parts it just tasted chewey. This is quite a large store, although it may not look like it from the outside. If you sit close enough, you can see the chefs cooking. I feel this branch of Nando’s is not fantastic, but the floors are not greasy and like an ice skating rink like the branch at a local retail park and the staff are very nice and helpful and have good knowledge of allergen information but still the food is nothing special, it is at a relativley good price but I feel I can only give 2 stars as the really loud music, the chicken being a little chewey and not standing out in particular as being in the best chickens I have ever had, means I can’t give any more. It is also very dark in here and the lighting is very strange as well, with unusual circular, ball shaped lights all over the central tables and a few others around the store, but none of them was really bright. If I was to visit Nandos again in Manchester, I probably would consider trying out the Printworks branch instead but this branch is okay, one of the main things that does put me off is the booming music, like you are at a gig and it has to be loud because they is hundreds of thousands of people in such a large space, and this is a food venue.

Nando’s is new to Picadilly Gardens in the centre of Manchester. This store also has seating downstairs. There is lots on the menu to order with vegetarian options and if you are looking at your waste-line you can have the Mediterranean salad with chicken which is delightful, or chicken with corn and rice, so you can make it as healthy as you want. One great Nando bonus is if you work for the NHS and show your ID badge you get 20% discount, and don’t forget to pick up your loyalty card which you do have to register online, again a great deal picking up free food as you collect points.
