Starbucks As you enter the store your think it is very small, but if you go up the stairs there is lots of comfortable seating plus the toilets. It is a good place to meet friends. It offers a wide range of coffee and speciality teas. There is also a good selection of cakes and snacks. and this store is a very busy start as well.

As Starbucks stores go this isn’t the best. Its almost as though the ‘don’t care’ attitude is because it must be one of the busiest in MANchester and THE busiest for passing trade and non repeat customer base. That said in my opinion it doesn’t excuse the attitude, not all customers are ignorant or rude, so they should treat for the positive in people and smile every time… After all, yes my money will spend anywhere… Rant over! Comfy seating upstairs only along with coded toilet door. Ground floor is just bar stools and a work table along with disabled toilet, which if u need to use, don’t accept the out of order crap they often use and complain to customer services, they usually respond quite well to email at

For a Starbucks situated at the CENTER of the city, I expected a bit more: the couches are torn, it is very cold upstairs, it is not especially cosy and there were no mugs anymore! Nonetheless, every time I went there, the baristas were really kind, funny and welcoming in spite of the crowd.

I went to this Starbucks today, after getting a free Gluten Free Sandwich from Genius round the corner and I was suprised to see so much competition within 10 steps. Caffe Nero and Costa are both across the way from this store! I bought a Medium White Chocolate Caffe Mocha with The I paper, meanwhile my friend got a chocolate chip cookie, After I sat down and began to drink my coffee, a member of staff let me know they had charged my friend for a chocolate cake and not a cookie and refunded back 90p. Considering we did not get a recipt or know the price, she could of got away with it bug I am glad she let us know! My coffee was served in a travel cup, after I said I was sitting in which was quite weird, it was not the nicest travel cup being very papery, but at least it had a lid and my drink was quite enjoyable! The largest size of the White Mocha is Grande(Medium) and costs £3.30. Overall, this is a nice coffee chain in the nice Piccadily Gardens with very honest staff, as a result of this I have to give this branch 4 stars!

This one is not as friendly as other Starbucks locations. May be the location. There’s a locked disabled loo downstairs. An elderly lady on a stick asked for the key and was told there was something wrong with the door forcing her to go up steep stairs, enter a four digit code go along a narrow corridor to a tiny poorly purple lit loo. Now I know this lighting is to make it difficult for heroin users to inject themselves but an elderly infirm lady isn’t exactly a dope head but that’s not made me really cross. What made me cross was recalling my being in this same café about 6 months back being told by the exact same staff member that I couldn’t bring my one and a half year old grand daughter and three year old grandson into the disabled loo with the same excuse of blaming the door. So I don’t believe a word of her claim. That aside, one to one, the staff are friendly and the coffee is ace. It’s not a place to stop a while, better to find somewhere else or just pick up and go or if your disabled then don’t bother.

My 2nd favourite Starbucks, I like it because its within walking distance of my Gym where twice a week I train Kickboxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Most of the time I’m on a strict protein and carbs diet but occasionally Im allowed to cheat and I normally head here for a hot chocolate or frappucino. its a good place to people watch as they go about their days in piccadilly gardens and the staff there aren’t over friendly but not ignorant assholes either. Theres an upstairs with comfy chairs and a code to the toilet so you won’t find no crack addicts slumped over the toilet bowl. A decent chain of starbucks I say.

This was my home away from home in Manchester. I frequently spent entire afternoons slaving away on school work here, and I was never asked to leave or buy more than my original order. Those who complain about prices are probably the same people who drink Venti Mocha Choca Whipped rubbish with sprinkles and faerie dust on top. 2 quid for a cappuccino is fine in my book. Most other cafes and restaurants ask a lot more. Main points: 1. Say take-away, even if you’re only ‘taking away’ to a table inside. Drinks stay warmer longer in the paper cups, and why pay for a plate? 2. Free shots and all kinds of good stuff with a Starbucks card(I miss that in the States!!) 3. Free internet with a Starbucks card(no big deal, just load it up with however much your drink costs). 4. Bathroom here is quite repulsive, as many have noted. The women’s is a maze to navigate through. Best bet is to go somewhere else if you’re larger than an ant.

Staying on the subject of corporate giants, this branch of Starbucks is *N*A*S*T*Y. I don’t know if it’s because the local junkies and winos use the bathroom to clean and shoot up or because it has way too many customers. Whatever the reason, the toilets in this place are always filthy and run down and the tables and chairs seem to have had a lot of wear and tear. On the rare occasion I do go in to meet a friend or relative, the service has been pretty bad too. I’m not talking rude staff, more luke-warm coffee, watery drinks and chipped cups.

My first Starbucks in the UK. It’s no different than Starbucks in the US, except you can order in or to go just like if you were in a fast food restaurant. Not sure if you can order different flavor pumps like the States… I just ordered a caramel hot chocolate because it’s on the menu. I’m used to having free internet at US Starbucks through AT&T… here in the UK it’s still T-Mobile so I’ve paid… oh well, no big deal. I’ll gladly sit here and pay for internet in an atmosphere that’s familiar to me then sit in a random place with free internet.
