Starbucks are almost all the same which also leads to re-assuring consistency The unique feature of this branch is a backdoor into the central arcade. A touch of Edwardian elegance.

The staff at this branch are so helpful and make every visit personal. Service with a smile and a little natter makes all the difference. If there is ever a problem the staff always seem to go out of their way to help. My friend was curious about the ‘Eggnog latte’ that they offer at Christmas but was unsure if she would like it — the staff heard her telling me this and described the flavour in much detail They said is she did not like it they would replace it with something else for her. Great customer service and she loved the Eggnog latte!

Nice cup of cofee to kick start the day. staff were friendly and very attentive, it’s a real family place and the food is lovely with a relaxed atmosphere, second time here and we have no hesitation recommending it to family and friends.

I met my boyfriend here on our very first date! Admitedly it was because there was a back entrance and the option to run away was always there :-) I didn’t, and neither did he and we are still together months later. Must be the coffee… or something! x

Very cosy leather chairs at the rear looking on the Central Arcade. Nice jazz music from speakers. Unable to connect their BT openzone via my iPhone, even after inputting my logins, but that may have been something I was doing wrong. Staff were friendly. As normal, a great cup of Americano. Next time, weather was nice so we sat in the seating are at the from on Grainer Street and watched the world go by. The seating are is a bit cramped but was still ok untill you have to climb over shopping bags etc to get out and squeeze between chairs.

Starbucks has a wide range of coffee’s etc but is often very busy, so service can be often pushy, its one of those places that is a rare treat for coffee lovers, or sometimes just for on the go.

Handy Starbucks just out of the buzz of city centre pedestrian area. It is sited on Grey Street voted best architectural street in UK. Popi in to escape crowds and check out whats on at the theatre just across the road. Usually busy

Whenever my mum comes down to visit, the Starbucks on Grainger street is our last stop before she goes back on the train. Downstairs is my favourite place to sit as it has such a cozy environment. The drinks are delicious and I don’t care if people say they’re over priced, a shopping trip is not completely without a Starbucks!

Everybody loves Starbucks! There’s no doubt about that. Whenever I’m in Newcastle I can’t resist popping in for a coffee. Their prices are generally high considering a coffee probably costs 5p for them to make but they do have some nice varieties, including the kiddies drinks with sprinkles: D Also the class of people who use Starbucks tends not to chavs, so you get a nice relaxing sit down. I would never buy their snacks as they are ridiculously overpriced but I think their coffee is the best tasting out of all the big coffee shop chains so I do tend to treat myself once in a while.
