Pizza Express Restaurants

Nice restaurant, nice ambiance. Can be quite busy at times but service is very efficient. Food wise — no surprises really if you have been to any other of the many branches of this chain restaurant or have tasted some of the chain’s branded supermarket shelved offerings but décor here is quite nice and there is a small outdoor area at the back if you’re lucky enough to have a sunny day! Price wise I would suggest googling vouchers for this chain or using a voucher app on your smartphone for good savings.

Granite floors in a restuarant are a bad idea as every time you move your chair it grated over the floor. tables were to close together although it was very clean and staff were very polite.

Nice pizzas. Great location but the granite follr makes the chairs noisy when moved. A bit echoey too so can be annoying.

Visiting friends one evening they had booked a table at Pizza Express. We were only there for an hour before walking out as we were still waiting for our starters. After the first 30 minutes of waiting we were given the poor excuse of them having a party upstairs, surely they were aware of those catering requirements before we arrived and what kind of amateur establishment can’t sufficiently serve all the people it can accomodate? Pizza Express is the answer. The waiter to be fair was aware the management are incompetent and the kitchen was in disarray. He apologised several times and alluded to the fact that this was common place for them. So we had a free round of drinks and left just as our starters were emerging from the Kitchen. Oddly enough our friends returned not so long ago and the same thing happened again and they were given the same excuse!

A nice example of the pizza express chain squeezed into a four storey building. As with any pizza express they offer good italian food at a fair price, new pizza range is very good!
The resturant is always clean and tidy when I have visited and I would recommend booking if your going at the weekend!
I would also not recommend the resturant to people who are disabled or have very small children as the toliets are awkward and the resturant itself is small and difficult to move about.

This is a really lovely restaurant. It is great for families but equally good for a quick week day lunch. It is light, bright and airy. The menu is very varied with lots of choice for everyone including children. Their pizzas are really lovely. The dough balls are fanastic and I adore the warm chicken salad with roasted veg! Desserts are also to die for! Usually quick service, but not always — if you are in a hurry — tell them and they will do their best for you. Toilets are upstairs and a bit of a trek, but very nice.
