A very good restaurant for the area, with high-​class cooking focussing on the use of local produce. Name-​checking of producers on the menu was well established here long before it became fashionable. The restaurant has moved with the times and added tasting menus and a chefs table. Vegetarians are well catered for with several options available for each course.

31. The Lavendar House in Brundall, Norfolk is a high quality gourmet restaurant aiming itself at the higher class people of Norwich. The location is set in a small village which is not the easiest place to find. There is some parking directly outside although as with most places this is limited. Expect the portions to be small (e.g. pea soup in a shot glass) however this is not too much of an issue as you will receive many of these small courses to fill you up. I find the quality of the food to be excellent although I would also say the price does not quite justify this kind of price of £40+ per person.
