Tatlers Restaurant

An interesting and unchained restaurant amidst all the usual suspects (Zizzi, Uno, et al) which was a real pleasure to discover. Romantic, nicely decorated and cosy, it would be a great place on a first date :-) As usual, I was on my own, but the pleasant and efficient waiter made my brief visit relaxed and friendly. I had pickled pers, parma ham and salad for a starter, drizzled with olive oil and pepper. My main was a creamy risotto with the most amazing mix of wild mushrooms. Often there ias just a nod in the direction of chanterelles, oyster and nori amongst many others. The grated parmesan on the top was just enough, and the side salad fresh and crunchy. I chose a red wine from Cont Zecci, which I was VERY glad to see on the list.
They say they try to source all local produce which wins many points in my book, and I am only sorry I wasn’t staying longer as I would like to have gone again! Maybe next time. :-)
